CyberBrick is MakerWorld’s modular smart-toy ecosystem: programmable electronics pair with 3D-printed structures, app-based controls, coding tools, and community-shared designs. Its Kickstarter campaign ran from March 15 to April 14, 2025, and is now closed. The campaign page reports 10,552 backers and HK$5,219,708 raised against a HK$77,752 goal; those are campaign-reported figures, not independently audited totals.
What is MakerWorld CyberBrick?
CyberBrick combines wireless microcontrollers and solderless electronic modules with printable structures and software for configuring and programming projects. MakerWorld presents it as a system for projects ranging from remote-control toys to productivity tools, rather than a single toy or fixed kit. See the CyberBrick page on MakerWorld.
Bambu Lab’s March 6, 2025 launch announcement described CyberBrick as a MakerWorld-team spinoff. Its proposed workflow moves from printing and assembling a model to configuring controls, programming with a graphical, event-based interface, modifying MicroPython code, and designing compatible parts. The system also includes community blueprints, so users can explore existing builds as well as create their own. Read Bambu Lab’s launch announcement.

The campaign is over. Early-bird pledges and crowdfunding discounts were campaign offers, not current purchase prices. MakerWorld’s March 2025 FAQ said the hardware would be offered through Maker’s Supply after the campaign and that its prices there would be higher than Kickstarter prices. That was a statement of intent at the time, not confirmation of current stock or pricing. The dated Kickstarter FAQ does not establish present-day availability.
What kits and components were described?
The launch announcement described two kit formats: DIY kits for people who have a 3D printer, and complete sets that include printed parts. The FAQ said the initial bundles were designed to support a complete CyberBrick experience with the official example remote and vehicles. It also described individual hardware modules as an option for later creator models.

Does CyberBrick require a 3D printer?
Not necessarily. The campaign announcement described DIY kits for owners of 3D printers and complete sets with printed parts included. A DIY buyer should check the print requirements for the exact project; an included-parts set may reduce the need to source or print those pieces for the first build. The available descriptions do not specify universal printer or filament requirements for every CyberBrick model.

What did MakerWorld claim about CyberBrick’s impact?
In Bambu Lab’s March 6, 2025 announcement, the company attributed this statement to Dr. Tao, CEO at Bambu Lab: “With CyberBrick™, we’re not just changing the way toys and other gadgets are made – we’re revolutionizing the entire supply chain, from creator to consumer,” says Dr. Tao, CEO at Bambu Lab. “We’re cutting out the need for manufacturing plants, transportation, and retail, significantly reducing waste and carbon footprint. This distributed manufacturing approach turns 3D printers into personal manufacturing hubs, providing endless possibilities, while minimizing environmental impact.”
This is a company executive’s promotional statement, not an independently measured result. The cited materials do not establish quantified independent environmental impacts or learning outcomes for CyberBrick.
