At the prices shown in the US Steam listing checked on October 7, 2026, Mafia Trilogy was technically the better value: Mafia II: Definitive Edition and Mafia III: Definitive Edition were $29.99 apiece ($59.98 together), while the bundle was $59.97. For one cent less, the bundle also included Mafia: Definitive Edition and Mafia II (Classic). That is a narrow snapshot, not a guarantee that the bundle is always cheaper; check the live price in your own store and region before buying.

At those listed prices, the trilogy saves one cent compared with buying II and III separately, while adding the first game’s remake and Mafia II (Classic). If you only want II and III, those extras may not affect your decision; if you want to play the series, they make the bundle the more complete purchase at essentially the same cost. What to check before buying
Compare today’s prices in the same store
Use the same storefront, region, currency, and checkout session for all three prices. A discount on either standalone game, a changed bundle price, or a regional price difference can erase or reverse the one-cent Steam advantage. Steam search results showed inconsistent discount information, so treat the listed figures above as a dated snapshot rather than a current offer.

Account for games you already own
If you own one or more of the games, check the price shown in your account’s cart instead of assuming the first-purchase bundle price applies. 2K’s May 19, 2020 announcement said existing Steam owners of Mafia II would receive Mafia II: Definitive Edition at no additional cost, and existing Mafia III owners on PS4, Xbox One, and Steam would receive Mafia III: Definitive Edition at no additional cost. These are historical upgrade terms; confirm any entitlement with your platform or account support rather than assuming they describe every current account. Read 2K’s announcement.
PlayStation and Xbox prices are different comparisons
PlayStation
The US PlayStation page listed Mafia: Trilogy for PS4 at $59.99 and linked to separate Mafia II and Mafia III store pages, but the captured official page did not show their prices. To determine which option is better value, check the live price of each standalone game in your PlayStation Store and compare their sum with the trilogy’s live price. The page describes the collection as all three mainline games with original DLC and expansions; Mafia: Definitive Edition is a ground-up remake, Mafia II: Definitive Edition an HD remaster, and Mafia III: Definitive Edition the third entry with its DLC and expansions. Xbox
The Xbox listing covers Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S and says the bundle includes the main games and DLC releases. Its UK price was shown as £49.99+, which is a regional figure and should not be compared directly with US dollar prices. Check the UK store’s current bundle and separate-game prices for a like-for-like comparison. View the UK Xbox listing.
Which option should you choose?
- Choose the trilogy on Steam if the prices still match the October 7, 2026 snapshot, you do not already own the included games, and you want the extra entries. It cost one cent less than buying II and III separately in that listing.
- Buy II and III separately if their combined live price is lower in your region, or if you do not want the trilogy’s additional content and a standalone purchase is cheaper.
- For PlayStation or Xbox, compare the current account-specific totals in the same regional store; the available price evidence does not establish that the bundle is always cheaper on either platform.
Physical edition availability
If you prefer discs, 2K’s 2020 announcement said a physical Mafia Trilogy edition was planned for select EMEA and Asia markets. That announcement does not establish current stock or availability in other regions, so verify a specific regional retailer listing before relying on it.
