Infold’s reported follow-up warning says not to recreate or consume the drinks. One image paired character Sylus with Datura, a poisonous plant also known as jimsonweed.
What happened with the Love and Deepspace cocktails?
PC Gamer reported on October 5, 2026, that developer Infold posted character-themed cocktail imagery for its mobile game Love and Deepspace on X on September 29. In the report, Rafayel was associated with fire lily and Sylus with Datura. PC Gamer described the follow-up warning as arriving about 36 hours later.
The warning, quoted by PC Gamer as Infold’s follow-up post, reads: “Safety notice: All drinks shown are fictional and for in-game purposes only. Do not attempt to recreate or consume them in reality.” The reported fan reaction included “Hey, what the hell?”; that is an individual reaction quoted in the report, not evidence of a measured consensus.
Is Datura safe to consume?
No. MedlinePlus identifies Datura as another name for jimsonweed and says the plant contains poisonous substances including atropine, hyoscine (scopolamine), hyoscyamine and other tropane alkaloids. Poison is present throughout the plant, especially in its leaves and seeds. That hazard concerns contact with or ingestion of the actual plant—not simply seeing a fictional cocktail image.

PC Gamer’s report supplies the incident details and reproduces the warning. The original X post was not independently verified here. MedlinePlus’s jimsonweed poisoning reference and Poison Control’s poisonous-plant guidance provide the safety information. The report calls the other flower “fire lily” without establishing a botanical species, so no species identification is implied here.
