What the Logitech Wave Keys is—and who it suits
Wave Keys combines a conventional full-size key arrangement with a gently curved, slightly tented key field and an integrated cushioned palm rest. Logitech presents the shape as supporting a more natural typing posture; that is a design rationale, not evidence that the keyboard prevents or treats wrist pain or a medical condition.
Its best fit is an office or home-office user who wants a relatively compact full-size layout, quiet typing, wireless connections, and a palm rest without moving to a strongly split keyboard. If you rely on a familiar layout, expect some adjustment: RTINGS describes the spacing as cramped and the keys as mushy-feeling, though its review considers the keyboard suitable for office use because it is quiet.
How it feels to type on
Wave layout and palm rest
The keys rise and dip across the board in a shallow wave rather than forming two widely separated clusters. The broad cushion is built into the keyboard, so it remains part of the desk footprint and cannot be removed, according to RTINGS. This is a practical trade-off: you get an attached place to rest your palms, but not the option to reposition or detach it.

Key feel and spacing
Logitech calls the key construction “Plunger”; RTINGS describes the switches as quiet rubber domes. In RTINGS’ assessment, they are quiet enough for office use but feel mushy, and the relatively close spacing may take getting used to. Those are review impressions rather than a guarantee that every typist will feel the same way. If precise spacing or a crisp mechanical-style response matters to you, try the Wave Keys before committing if possible.
Wireless connections and device switching
The standard Wave Keys connects either over Bluetooth Low Energy or through the included Logi Bolt USB receiver, which uses 2.4 GHz wireless. Logitech lists a 10 m receiver range in its general specifications. The Easy-Switch keys let you move among up to three paired devices; Logitech advertises compatibility across Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, iPadOS, iOS, and Android, and its support specifications also list Linux.

That makes the keyboard useful for a desk shared by a computer, tablet, or phone. The standard package includes the keyboard, Logi Bolt dongle, and documentation. Check the exact listing before buying a Mac-specific version: RTINGS says that variant has Mac-specific keys, is available in white, and does not include the Logi Bolt receiver.

Logitech’s support page currently lists no spare parts available for this product. Its battery figure is a manufacturer estimate, not a promise of a fixed replacement interval.

What it lacks
- No backlighting: a drawback if you often type in a dim room.
- Fixed palm rest: it cannot be removed, so account for it when measuring desk space or choosing your preferred wrist-rest position.
- No mechanical-style feel: RTINGS’ review characterizes the keys as mushy rather than crisp.
- Not a gaming choice: RTINGS reports performance limitations, including an effective update-rate bottleneck and poor chord-split performance.
Dedicated media controls are also a point to check against your own needs and the exact layout you are considering; the available review evidence does not establish a detailed control-by-control inventory for every variant.
How it compares with ergonomic alternatives
The closest decision is often whether you want a gently waved conventional layout or a more pronounced split. RTINGS characterizes the Logitech ERGO K860 as larger, with more widely spaced keys and more distinct left and right clusters. Wave Keys is more compact, with closer spacing and lighter-feeling rubber-dome keys in that comparison.

- Confirm whether you are buying the standard or Mac-specific variant, and check the key legends and receiver included in that package.
- Measure the desk space for the integrated palm rest as well as the keyboard itself.
- Consider whether the closer spacing and quieter plunger-style keys suit your typing habits.
- Compare the live price and color availability in your country; neither is established by an older price snapshot.
Verdict
Logitech Wave Keys is a sensible office keyboard for someone who wants quiet typing, a familiar full-size arrangement, a built-in palm rest, and wireless device switching without adopting a strongly split layout. Its compromises are equally clear: the keys may feel mushy, the spacing may seem tight, the palm rest is fixed, and there is no backlighting. Choose it for those practical desk features—not as a treatment for pain or as a gaming keyboard.
