The Logitech G PRO X TKL RAPID is a wired tenkeyless gaming keyboard built around magnetic-analog switches, adjustable actuation and rapid trigger. It is most appealing if you want to tune key behavior for fast-paced games and make basic adjustments directly on the keyboard. Its tradeoffs are a wired-only connection, review-reported typing noise and feel issues, and weaker chord handling at some settings. Logitech’s US product page listed it for $189.99 when checked on October 4, 2026; that is a dated listing price, not a guarantee of what it costs today.

What the PRO X TKL RAPID is—and what it is not

The PRO X TKL RAPID is a wired, tenkeyless (TKL) keyboard with magnetic-analog switches. Its defining features are adjustable actuation and rapid trigger, which let users tune when a key registers and how it behaves as it moves back upward. Logitech introduced it in 2024 as its first magnetic-analog keyboard, with G HUB integration and onboard configuration. Logitech’s launch announcement listed a USD 169.99 MSRP and December 2024 availability.

Do not confuse it with the regular Logitech G PRO X TKL. RTINGS describes that model as wireless with standard mechanical switches, while the RAPID is wired and analog. The names are similar, but the connection and switch systems are meaningfully different. RTINGS’ review and comparisons cover both distinctions.

How adjustable actuation and rapid trigger work

Actuation is the point in a key’s downward travel at which a press registers. Rapid trigger changes the reset behavior so a key can register again as it moves upward, rather than relying on a fixed reset point. These controls are intended to give players more direct control over repeated inputs. They also make setup important: a very short actuation setting can be sensitive, and RTINGS reports actuation issues at the lowest travel settings.

According to Logitech, the keyboard supports keyboard-wide actuation settings from 0.1 mm through 4.0 mm. That is a configurable range, not a claim that every setting will suit every game or user. Logitech’s setup guide explains the onboard options and profile shortcuts.

Onboard profiles, G HUB and everyday controls

The keyboard ships with three onboard profiles configured with different actuation and rapid-trigger settings. Select them with Fn plus F2, F3 or F4. A customizable analog profile is assigned to Fn plus F5; Logitech’s guide says its actuation point can be adjusted on the keyboard without software. The guide recommends Logitech G HUB for the best gaming experience, and Logitech’s launch announcement describes G HUB support for further configuration.

Logitech also describes Key Priority in G HUB as an implementation of simultaneous opposing cardinal directions (SOCD) resolution. The available behavior choices are based on travel distance, last press, neutral or absolute priority. That gives players a way to define how opposite directional inputs are handled, rather than leaving the result implicit.

For general use, there are dedicated previous, play/pause, next and mute controls, plus a volume roller. Game Mode blocks the Windows and Context Menu keys; G HUB can be used to configure additional blocked keys. The keyboard also has RGB lighting controls, including a brightness button. Logitech’s launch announcement says its construction uses low-carbon aluminum and post-consumer recycled ABS plastic; those material descriptions are Logitech’s statements.

How it performs in reviews

RTINGS reports excellent all-around latency and full N-key rollover, but also underwhelming chord-split performance and actuation issues at the lowest travel settings. Those findings make the keyboard’s performance picture more nuanced than its rapid-trigger feature list: fast response is a strength in the cited testing, but simultaneous-input behavior and extreme low-travel configurations are not without caveats. RTINGS records a test-bench update dated January 6, 2026.

Typing is another consideration. RTINGS reports minor key wobble and stabilizer rattle, sound that is somewhat loud compared with many linear-switch keyboards, and a tall profile without an included wrist rest that may become tiring during long typing sessions. PC Gamer’s 2025 roundup likewise identifies surprising loudness as a drawback, while listing good value for rapid trigger and sturdy construction as positives. PC Gamer awarded it 86% in that roundup; that is one publication’s editorial verdict, not a standardized benchmark. Read PC Gamer’s 2025 roundup.

How it compares with alternatives

The best comparison depends on whether you prioritize connectivity, layout, controls, typing experience or test results. The following are RTINGS’ comparisons, not universal rankings; prices and availability can change.

Keyboard Connection and switch type Layout and controls Review comparison
Logitech G PRO X TKL RAPID Wired; magnetic-analog Standard TKL arrangement, dedicated media controls, volume wheel, Game Mode and RGB-brightness button RTINGS reports excellent all-around latency, with weaker chord-split performance and issues at the lowest actuation settings.
Logitech G PRO X TKL Wireless; standard mechanical switches, according to RTINGS RTINGS’ cited comparison does not establish a control-by-control feature comparison. A better fit to consider if wireless connectivity and standard mechanical switches matter more than the RAPID’s analog adjustment.
Wooting 80HE RTINGS describes stronger raw performance and build quality in its testing than the Logitech RAPID; connection and switch details are not stated in the cited comparison. Less conventional 80% layout rather than a standard TKL; Logitech offers dedicated media controls and a volume wheel. Consider the Wooting if RTINGS’ raw-performance/build findings are your priority; the Logitech has more conventional TKL ergonomics and onboard media controls.
SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL (2023) RTINGS describes roughly equal raw gaming performance and build quality versus the Logitech; the cited comparison does not specify connection or switch type. SteelSeries adds a programmable OLED and wrist rest. Logitech has dedicated media controls, a volume wheel, Game Mode and an RGB-brightness button. RTINGS frames this more as a difference in quality-of-life features than a clear raw-performance winner.

RTINGS’ comparisons are useful for narrowing choices, but they do not replace checking current regional layouts, availability or prices. The RAPID’s appeal rests on combining adjustable analog behavior with a familiar TKL layout and onboard controls; it is not simply the right pick for anyone looking for a gaming keyboard.

Price and value

Logitech’s US product page showed the PRO X TKL RAPID at $189.99 and in stock when checked on October 4, 2026. The company’s 2024 launch announcement gave a separate USD 169.99 MSRP. These figures describe different dates and should not be treated as interchangeable: the live listing, local currency, stock and regional layout may differ. Check Logitech’s US product listing for its current price and availability.

PC Gamer’s 2025 assessment called the keyboard good value for rapid trigger, but its 86% verdict is that publication’s editorial judgment. Whether the current listing is worthwhile depends on how much you value magnetic-analog adjustment, wired use and Logitech’s onboard controls relative to the typing and chord-handling caveats in reviews.

Who should buy the PRO X TKL RAPID?

  • Consider it if you want a wired TKL keyboard with adjustable actuation and rapid trigger, prefer direct onboard profile changes, and will use its media controls and volume roller.
  • Look elsewhere if you need wireless or mobile/tablet use; RTINGS describes the keyboard as wired-only and unsuitable for mobile or tablet use.
  • Try alternatives before deciding if typing sound, long-session comfort, extreme low actuation settings or simultaneous chord behavior are central to your choice.
  • Compare the regular PRO X TKL carefully if you expected a wireless version of the same analog keyboard: RTINGS identifies the regular model as wireless and standard-mechanical, unlike the wired analog RAPID.
