LinkedIn users can now display profile signals tied to work on Replit, Lovable, Descript and Relay.app. The formats described so far differ: Lovable offers a bronze medal, Replit a numerical rating, and Relay.app the label “Intermediate AI Agent Builder.” Descript is named as a collaborator, but no credential format is specified.

What are LinkedIn’s vibe-coding credentials?

LinkedIn has signed a collaboration agreement with Replit, Lovable, Descript and Relay.app to give users new ways to show knowledge of “vibe coding” to their LinkedIn contacts and followers. The announcement was reported by CIO on Jan. 29, 2026. The report describes these as platform-linked profile signals; it does not provide a step-by-step process for adding them.

The stated aim is to show more about how people work alongside existing professional signals, not to replace those signals. Pat Whealan told Engadget, as quoted by CIO: “This is less about replacing any of the other existing signals and more about showing new ways that people work.” CIO

What signal does each platform provide?

Platform Signal described What it indicates
Lovable Bronze medal users can show The report does not specify the medal’s criteria or what level of work it represents.
Replit Numerical rating users can show The report does not explain the rating scale, how it is calculated, or what it measures.
Relay.app “Intermediate AI Agent Builder” A skill label; the report does not define its assessment criteria.
Descript Not stated in CIO’s Jan. 29, 2026 report Descript is named as a collaborator, but no badge, rating or level is described.

These differences matter when interpreting a profile: a medal, a number and a skill label are not directly comparable on the information reported. None should be treated as a standardized measure of coding ability or professional experience based on this announcement alone.

Can you display a Replit rating or earn a LinkedIn badge?

The report confirms that Replit’s numerical rating and Lovable’s bronze medal are intended to be shown on LinkedIn, and that Relay.app’s skill label is another described signal. It does not give eligibility requirements, instructions, availability details, or a LinkedIn profile menu path. Check the relevant platform and LinkedIn for current account-specific instructions before assuming a signal is available to you.

“Vibe coding” is the term used for the knowledge these platforms’ signals are meant to showcase. The CIO report does not establish how each partner defines or assesses that knowledge, so readers should check the platform’s own explanation of its signal before using it to compare candidates or describe their abilities.
