LEGO Sanrio products featuring Hello Kitty and other Sanrio characters are planned to arrive from 2027. LEGO and Sanrio announced a multi-year partnership on 6 October 2026, but have not yet revealed individual sets, prices or a more specific release date.
What LEGO and Sanrio announced
The LEGO Group and Sanrio say their multi-year partnership will bring Hello Kitty and Friends and their universe into LEGO brick form for the first time. Sanrio calls the planned products “LEGO Sanrio”; LEGO describes the line as an adventure starting in 2027. Sanrio’s announcement, dated 6 October 2026, and LEGO’s official Sanrio page confirm the partnership and announced start year.
Hello Kitty was introduced in 1974, according to Sanrio. The company also says that approximately 50,000 types of Hello Kitty merchandise are sold annually in more than 130 countries and regions; that is Sanrio’s own figure, not an independently audited count. Sanrio’s release includes both details.
When will the LEGO Hello Kitty sets be released?
The announced start year is 2027. No exact date, month or season has been specified in the official material. LEGO’s FAQ says the timing is not yet known and directs fans to follow its page for monthly hints. That means 2027 is a planned product-line start, not confirmation of a January launch or a particular release day. LEGO’s Sanrio page and FAQ
