Legendz’s social sportsbook is a sports-themed section of a social entertainment platform. According to Legendz’s own Terms and Conditions, no real money is required to play. Activity runs on two virtual currencies: Gold Coins, used for Standard Play and not redeemable for prizes, and Sweeps Coins, used for Promotional Play and potentially redeemable for prizes under the official rules. Whether the sportsbook is available to you depends on your location, and several U.S. states are excluded.
What Legendz says the product is
Legendz’s Terms and Conditions describe the platform as intended for entertainment and state: “THE PLATFORM AND GAMES DO NOT OFFER REAL MONEY GAMBLING, AND NO REAL MONEY IS REQUIRED TO PLAY.” That is the company’s stated model. It is not an independent legal determination that the service is lawful in every jurisdiction, and, as the state-level sections below show, regulators have taken different views.
The General FAQ describes the offering as including casino-style games, social live casino, and a social sportsbook. The Terms identify the operator as Platinum Panther Ltd. and define the “platform” as the website, mobile application, games, features, and related services.

The two currencies correspond to two play modes on the same platform. They are not separate sportsbook brands, and they do not behave the same way when it comes to prizes.

Buying Gold Coins is not the same as making a deposit. The Terms describe a Gold Coin purchase as buying a license for Standard Play, not as withdrawable funds. A Gold Coin balance therefore cannot be cashed out, and a Sweeps Coin prize opportunity should not be described as a guaranteed payout.
How to collect Sweeps Coins without buying anything
The Sweeps Rules state that no purchase is necessary to enter. The routes they list for collecting Sweeps Coins are:

The mail-in request card
The Sweeps Rules describe a postal request method that, when it qualifies, receives 3 Sweeps Coins. The rules impose strict requirements on handwriting, identity, location, timing, formatting, and account codes. Treat each requirement as a condition of qualifying: a request that departs from the rules as written may not be credited. Read the current rules before mailing anything.
Expiry and forfeiture
The Sweeps Rules say Sweeps Coins can expire 45 days after your last log-in. They may also be forfeited if an account is closed or in other circumstances the rules specify. Log in regularly if you hold a balance, and check the current rules before relying on it.

Participants must be at least 18 or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, whichever is later.

Ohio is treated as a limited-access territory: the casino product is available, but the sportsbook is not. Legendz reserves the right to change its list of territories, so the in-product access shown in your account and the current terms are the reference points that matter, not an older article or partner announcement.
Tennessee
The Tennessee Sports Wagering Council reported in a notice dated April 29, 2025 that Legendz voluntarily stopped offering its social sportsbook in Tennessee on April 8, 2025. The Council had sent a letter about potential violations of the Tennessee Sports Gaming Act. The Council also cautioned consumers that being able to reach a website does not mean a sportsbook is operating legally in Tennessee. The Council’s notice is the primary source for this point.

Responsible-play controls
Legendz’s Responsible Social Gameplay Policy lists the following tools:

Increasing or removing a Gold Coin purchase limit has a 72-hour cooling-off period. Decreasing a limit takes effect immediately. You can manage these tools in the account’s Responsible Social Gameplay section or by contacting customer support.
Dated figures and what they do not show
Two numbers circulate in coverage of Legendz. Both are dated and neither measures Legendz’s business performance.

The PBA announcement describes Legendz as the official social casino and sportsbook of the PBA.
- More than $4.7 billion a year, Tennessee Sports Wagering Council, April 29, 2025. The Council said more than $4.7 billion a year is wagered through online sportsbooks it licenses in Tennessee. That describes Tennessee’s licensed online market, not Legendz or its users.
The PBA announcement also carries partnership remarks. Josh Margolis, Chief Marketing Officer at Legendz, said: “The PBA embodies energy, skill, and community — everything we believe in at Legendz.” PBA Commissioner Tom Clark said the partnership is about “a fun and responsible live sports betting experience.” These are promotional statements from the parties, not independent assessments.
The official and regulator documents cited here contain no independently published performance statistics and no independent study of Legendz.
