Its documentation lists a 100 MHz CPU and 512 KB of flash, plus examples such as handwritten-digit and thermal-gesture recognition. Those examples show what the project explores; they are not published benchmarks of inference speed, accuracy, or power use.
What FryPi is—and who it is for
OSHWHub describes FryPi as an STM32F411RET6 mini development board for AI, user-interface (UI) development, digital power control, and other embedded projects. Maker Kingham Xu created it as a more accessible platform for secondary development alongside STM32 AI tutorials, according to Hackster.io’s 2024 coverage.
That makes FryPi more than a dedicated TinyML accelerator: it is a general-purpose microcontroller board whose project examples include machine-learning-style demos. It may suit a developer who wants to explore an STM32 workflow, connect peripherals, and adapt example projects. It should not be mistaken for evidence that the board can run any particular model or deliver a particular level of performance.
FryPi’s documented hardware
The OSHWHub project page, updated May 6, 2026, lists an STM32F411RET6, a 100 MHz CPU, 512 KB of flash, and a Cortex-M4 core with DSP and floating-point unit (FPU) support and an ART accelerator. It also says external SPI flash may be soldered onto the board. These are project-page specifications, not independent measurements.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Hackster’s 2024 article gives 128 KB SRAM and 512 KB flash for the STM32F411REU6 it describes. The suffix differs from the RET6 named on the project page; do not assume these package designations are interchangeable when selecting a part or checking board compatibility. Consult the exact revision’s files and component markings.
STM32F4 denotes a family, not a single fixed specification. ST’s STM32F4 series overview and product listings cover multiple parts with different clocks, memory sizes, and peripherals. Family-level maximums or capabilities of other STM32F4 devices should not be attributed to FryPi’s F411 variant.

What the project demonstrates
FryPi’s listed examples span embedded interfaces, sensing, and development workflows. OSHWHub lists smartwatch and thermal-imaging gesture-recognition projects, handwritten-digit recognition, MATLAB collaboration, and Simulink work. Hackster also describes handwriting, thermal-camera gesture, and OV2640 facial-recognition demonstrations.
The examples establish that these demonstrations are part of the project’s documented scope. The cited pages do not establish model accuracy, inference latency or throughput, power consumption, or performance under a stated test setup. Treat “AI” and “TinyML” as the project’s intended application areas, not as a quantified capability guarantee.

Core boards and optional camera/display hardware
The project page documents several hardware options, including a Core board, a single-Type-C Core variant, single- and dual-Type-C versions, a CAM expansion board, and an OV2640 camera module. It also names a P169H002-CTP touchscreen. These are documented project components and variants, not confirmation of current retail stock or accessory availability.
Before choosing or assembling a configuration, check the current project files and revision notes for connector, pinout, mechanical, and electrical fit. The page refers to hardware revision V1.1, but the available description does not establish that every accessory or expansion fits every variant.

What to verify before buying or building
- Confirm the exact board variant and MCU/package marking; the project page names STM32F411RET6, while Hackster reports a different suffix for the part it describes.
- Check the revision and current repository files for pin compatibility, assembly requirements, and whether the CAM expansion, camera, or display matches the chosen Core board.
- Look for code and instructions for the specific tutorial or demo you intend to run, rather than assuming that a listed example is a turnkey application.
- Verify present-day availability, price, seller, and accessory identity directly. The project documentation does not establish current purchasing options.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
