JBL’s PartyBox Ultimate 2 has built-in EasySing AI vocal removal: JBL says it can lower a song’s original lead vocals while leaving backing vocals in place, so you can sing along to streamed music without relying on a karaoke catalog. JBL says you can use any connected microphone; the separately sold EasySing Mics are not required for this feature.
What the AI karaoke feature does
On its US PartyBox Ultimate 2 product page, JBL describes EasySing as a way to adjust how much of a song’s original lead vocal is heard. That lets a streamed track function as a sing-along, while backing vocals are meant to remain. This is JBL’s description of the feature, not independent evidence that vocal separation will sound equally clean on every recording.
The practical appeal is control over familiar songs: you can turn down the lead vocal rather than being limited to a dedicated karaoke catalog. How useful that is will depend on the song and the result you prefer; the available manufacturer materials do not establish cross-song removal quality or latency.
Do you need EasySing microphones?
No, not for the PartyBox Ultimate 2’s built-in vocal-removal feature. JBL says EasySing works with any connected microphone. The EasySing Mics are a separately sold accessory, not a prerequisite for using vocal removal on this speaker.

HARMAN’s March 12, 2026 announcement describes the EasySing Mics as a pair of wireless microphones with karaoke processing for specified PartyBox models. Their listed tools include vocal reduction, Voice Boost, reverb, echo, and noise suppression. HARMAN says the microphones can reduce original-track vocals to 25%, 50%, or 0%; those accessory controls should not be assumed to describe the Ultimate 2’s exact interface or settings.
How the Ultimate 2 fits into JBL’s PartyBox lineup
Model names matter: built-in AI vocal removal, compatibility with EasySing microphones, and other AI audio features are not interchangeable claims. In an October 5, 2026 India-market lineup announcement, HARMAN explicitly says the PartyBox 720 lacks AI vocal removal. It lists EasySing AI vocal removal for the On-The-Go 2 Plus and Encore 2 Plus, while describing the 330 and 130 with AI Sound Boost and EasySing microphone compatibility. Those distinctions apply to the India-specific lineup in that announcement; check the exact model and market before buying.

For supported speakers, EasySing Mics are an add-on route to karaoke processing. HARMAN’s March announcement lists the pair as compatible with PartyBox On-the-Go 2, Encore 2, Encore Essential 2, Club 120, Stage 320, 520, and 720. The Ultimate 2 is notable because JBL describes vocal removal as built into the speaker itself.
HARMAN lists a separate EasySing Mic Mini compatibility path: Go 5, Grip, Flip 7, Charge 6, Xtreme 5, Boombox 4, and all PartyBox models through Aux, with the Aux cable not included. Confirm the connection and compatibility for your specific speaker rather than treating Mic Mini and the EasySing Mics pair as the same accessory.

Price, availability, and what JBL claims about output
Prices and availability differ by market. JBL’s US product page, accessed October 7, 2026, listed the PartyBox Ultimate 2 at $1,799.95 as a pre-order with expected shipping on October 25, 2026. JBL’s October 1, 2026 European announcement gave an advised retail price of €1,599 and availability from October 6. These are market-specific launch details, not a single universal price or guarantee of current stock.
JBL specifies 1,500W output and says the Ultimate 2 offers more than 36% greater output than the previous generation. It also says the speaker can fill a space the size of four basketball courts. These are manufacturer claims; they are not independent measurements of loudness, coverage, or comparative sound quality.

Should you consider it for karaoke?
The built-in feature makes the Ultimate 2 more straightforward for karaoke than a speaker that needs a compatible EasySing accessory: JBL says any connected microphone can be used, and the speaker handles vocal reduction. It may suit someone who wants to sing along to streamed songs on a large party speaker, rather than buy into a specific karaoke catalog.
The trade-off is that the available evidence here comes from JBL and HARMAN, not independent listening tests. If vocal separation quality is central to your decision, treat JBL’s description as a feature claim rather than a guarantee that every track will yield a clean instrumental backing. For other PartyBox models, verify whether the exact model has built-in vocal removal, merely supports an EasySing microphone, or has neither; the distinctions are significant.
