How to check the listing before you buy
A date on a release calendar does not, by itself, confirm every format or storefront option. Nintendo says Switch software can be bought in packaged or download form where both exist, but that general guidance does not establish that a particular listed game has both editions. Confirm the format on the individual product page. Nintendo’s download-purchase guidance
- Open the Nintendo eShop on your console, or use Nintendo Store on the web or mobile, and search for the exact title.
- Check that the product page is for the Japanese storefront and the intended platform. Nintendo Switch 2 software is identified by a red header band in Nintendo’s Switch 2 catalog and storefront context.
- Review the product page for the release date, edition, price, and rating before purchasing; these details can differ by title and platform. Nintendo says displayed prices in its Switch 2 catalog are tax-inclusive eShop prices. Nintendo Switch 2 software catalog
Release schedules can change or gain entries. Nintendo, Famitsu, and D3 Publisher are distinct sources, so check the relevant current listing rather than treating a third-party calendar entry as a Nintendo confirmation.
