Does YouTube TV offer a $15 first month after a free trial?
The official YouTube TV offer terms do not establish a universal $15 first paid month after a trial. An offer may be limited to particular accounts or promotions, so the price and conditions shown at checkout matter more than a headline or an old coupon listing.
There is an important difference between paying $15 for the first paid month and receiving $15 off the regular price. DealNews described a January 2026 promotion as $15 off the first month plus $8 off each of the next three months. That is a third-party listing for a different offer; it does not show that the promotion is still available on October 8, 2026. See the DealNews listing.
What to verify before starting a trial
Read the offer details on the account you intend to use and check the checkout screen before confirming. YouTube TV says trial lengths vary, and prior Base Plan subscriptions or trials can affect eligibility for offers.

- First paid charge: Confirm whether the offer makes the first paid month $15 or takes $15 off another price.
- Discount duration: Check how many billing periods receive a discount and when the regular price begins.
- Trial length: YouTube TV says the length varies by plan; use the duration shown for your offer.
- Eligibility: The general Base Plan offer terms say customers who currently subscribe, previously subscribed to the Base Plan, or previously took a Base Plan trial are not eligible for that offer. A Google account and valid payment method are required.
- Later billing: Check the price for the selected plan and any add-ons after promotional pricing ends. YouTube TV says standard pricing can change.
- Cancellation timing: Note the trial end date and the date the first paid charge is scheduled.
What happens when the free trial ends?
According to YouTube TV’s trial help page, a trial provides access to the channels included in the selected plan. When it ends, the account switches to paid membership and is charged the applicable plan and add-on prices. That charge date becomes the monthly billing date.
Billing is automatic unless you cancel. YouTube TV says cancellation during the free trial prevents the trial’s paid conversion, while access continues until the trial period ends. You can cancel or pause a membership at any time; check your account for the specific trial end date and cancellation status.

Other ways a new subscriber may see a discount
Referral offer
YouTube TV’s referral help page describes a discounted first month for an eligible new subscriber referred by an active paying subscriber. It does not state one universal discount amount. The referrer receives an automatic discount after the referred subscriber pays the first bill. The page also says previous subscribers and trial participants are not eligible for that referral offer, so review the terms and amount presented through the referral.
Google TV promotional code
Google Store promotion terms describe a YouTube TV promotion for people who receive a code through Google TV. It is code-gated, not an offer established as available to every new subscriber.

How to decide whether the offer is worthwhile
Compare the actual charges and dates in the offer rather than judging it by the advertised discount alone. Before you sign up, make sure you can answer these questions from checkout and the linked terms:
- What will the first paid charge be after the trial?
- How many months, if any, are discounted?
- When does the regular recurring price start, and what is it for the selected plan and add-ons?
- Does your subscription or trial history make you ineligible?
- What is the trial end date, and by when must you cancel to avoid the first paid charge?
If checkout does not clearly show the first charge and later billing, do not assume a $15 headline describes your account’s offer. YouTube TV’s displayed standard price is subject to change, so rely on the current offer terms and account checkout rather than an older quoted price.
