TickTick lists Free at US$0 and includes List and Kanban views, natural-language processing for entering tasks, task reminders, and cross-platform sync. Its listed capacity is 9 lists, with up to 99 tasks in each. These are TickTick’s current published plan specifications, not a guarantee that limits will remain unchanged.
Free also includes a limited allowance for several other features: 2 task reminders, 5 habits, 5 countdowns, and 1 attachment per day, according to TickTick’s plan comparison and Help Center. These limits matter most if you use TickTick for more than a straightforward to-do list.
What changes with Premium
TickTick lists Premium at US$49.99 per year on its upgrade page, which describes that as less than US$4.17 per month. This is the US price displayed by TickTick when accessed in 2026; the price can vary by country, store, or future billing cycle.

The feature and capacity figures come from TickTick’s official plan comparison, its Help Center, and its sharing FAQ. The plan comparison labels Free calendar access “Basic” and Premium “Unlimited”; it highlights multiple calendar views and task duration as Premium features. TickTick’s FAQ describes the sharing limit as one member a Free user can add to a list and up to 29 for Premium. The plan table’s member totals may count the list owner, so these descriptions are not necessarily the same counting method.
How to decide whether Free is enough for you
Stay on Free if your setup is simple
- Your active task lists and tasks fit below 9 lists and 99 tasks per list.
- List or Kanban view, basic calendar access, reminders, and cross-platform sync cover how you organize your day.
- You do not need more than the listed Free allowances for habits, countdowns, attachments, or shared-list members.
For a modest personal workload, the practical question is whether you actually run into a limit. If the Free plan already supports the way you capture and review tasks, upgrading solely because Premium exists is unlikely to add much value.

Consider Premium if a specific limit gets in your way
- You regularly exceed the list or per-list task caps.
- You need multiple calendar views, task duration, or the larger calendar allowance TickTick lists for Premium.
- You want more task reminders or email reminders, which TickTick identifies as Premium features.
- You need higher habit, countdown, or attachment limits, or larger shared lists.
In that case, weigh the currently listed annual price against the time or workarounds the limits cost you. The plan table establishes the feature differences; it does not establish how much value an individual user will get from them.
Sharing and what happens if Premium ends
Sharing is available on both tiers, so a Free account is not limited to private lists. The difference is the number of additional members TickTick says you can add: one on Free and up to 29 on Premium, according to its sharing FAQ.

TickTick says data is retained when Premium expires, but Premium features become unavailable and the account can continue on Free. If you are considering a subscription, note that its subscription terms say billing may be monthly or annual depending on the selected plan and subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled by you or TickTick.

TickTick’s upgrade FAQ says subscriptions purchased through Google Play, Stripe, or PayPal can be canceled through the TickTick web app; Apple App Store subscriptions are managed in Apple account settings. The same FAQ describes a 14-day refund period for Google Play, PayPal, or Stripe purchases and directs Apple App Store purchasers to Apple Support. Check the current upgrade FAQ and the relevant store’s rules before relying on those details, since cancellation and refund terms can change.
