No. The HP ProCurve 1810G-24 does not support Power over Ethernet (PoE), so it cannot power access points, cameras, phones, or other devices over its Ethernet ports. HP’s 1810G Switches Management and Configuration Guide states: “24-port ProCurve 1810G switches do not support PoE.”
What that means for connected devices
The 1810G-24 is not a PoE power source. A device connected to one of its Ethernet ports must receive power another way; the switch does not provide it over the network cable.
Do not assume an injector or another PoE source will suit a particular endpoint. Check the endpoint’s required PoE standard and power needs before choosing any separate power equipment.
Check the exact model before relying on its specifications
HPE PartSurfer identifies the HP ProCurve 1810G-24 as part number J9450A. Compare the model and part number on your switch’s label with the HPE PartSurfer listing before applying specifications from a similarly named model.

Quick Recap
Rank #3
- Network Technology: 10/100/1000Base-T
- Total Number of Network Ports: 24
- Manageable: Yes
Rank #2
- 1810G-24 (J9450A): Does not support PoE, according to HP’s management guide.
- 1810G 8-port models: The guide says they may receive PoE power through port 1. That is a powered-device function: the switch can receive power from an upstream PoE source. It does not mean the switch supplies PoE to devices connected to it.
- 1810-24G v2 (J9803A): This is a separate, later model—not another name for the J9450A. HPE’s 1810 Switch Series QuickSpecs identify it as a 24-port model; the family’s documented PoE-powered-device option is for the 8-port Gigabit model.
