As of October 8, 2026, it is not confirmed that Public Mobile’s $45/100GB plan is available to every new customer. Public Mobile’s official plans page showed a $45/month Canada–US–Mexico offer with 125GB, but identified it as a Back to School offer that ended October 5. A Public Mobile Community post on October 6 described the $45 tier as 100GB after those deals ended. Check the plan and eligibility shown during signup before relying on either configuration.
What the available information confirms
The official Public Mobile plans page retrieved on October 8 listed a $45/month offer with 125GB, Canada–US–Mexico coverage, 5G speed, unlimited talk and text, 1,000 international minutes, and 2% back in Public Points. It also marked the Back to School offer as ending October 5. That expired listing does not confirm the terms or availability of a current $45/100GB plan.
In a Public Mobile Community post dated October 6, a member reported that the Back to School deals were gone and the $45 tier was 100GB. This is a recent community report, not confirmation that every new customer qualifies or that all plan inclusions match the expired 125GB offer.
Why the $45 data allowance has changed
Public Mobile’s $45 tier had several reported configurations during 2026. An April 29 report from iPhone in Canada described a $45/100GB Canada–US–Mexico 5G plan after a prior 175GB configuration; a May 21 report said the tier had increased from 100GB to 150GB. The official plans page later showed 125GB as a time-limited Back to School offer. These changes make the checkout offer—not an older article or community post—the useful reference for what is available now.

How to verify the offer before signing up
- Open Public Mobile’s plans page and select the plan shown for your intended activation.
- At signup, confirm the displayed monthly price and monthly data allowance. Do not assume the expired 125GB promotion or the community-reported 100GB configuration is still available.
- Check the coverage area, speed, talk and text, international-minute inclusions, and any offer end date shown with that specific plan.
- Confirm whether the offer applies to a new activation, an existing subscriber, or only eligible accounts before completing the change or activation.
What existing Public Mobile subscribers should know
Do not assume a plan advertised for new activations can be added to an existing account. A March 24, 2026 Community discussion concerned a different $40/100GB offer; its accepted response said that offer was for new activations. It does not establish the eligibility rules for the current $45 plan. Check the options presented in your own account rather than treating that historical discussion as a current rule.
Most importantly, do not transfer the expired $45/125GB plan’s inclusions to the community-reported $45/100GB plan without seeing them attached to the offer at signup. The available sources do not establish the current 100GB plan’s full terms or universal new-customer eligibility.
