No. The free Microsoft Outlook For Dummies promotion was a time-limited BetaNews giveaway that ended on June 4, 2024. The $18 figure in its headline was the ebook’s stated usual retail value at the time—not a current offer or a universal price across formats and retailers.
What happened to the free Outlook book offer?
Wayne Williams’s BetaNews article announcing the promotion was published on May 24, 2024. It described a free ebook of Microsoft Outlook For Dummies covering basic and advanced Outlook features in Office 2021, and said the offer expired June 4, 2024. That deadline has passed, so the headline should not be treated as an active way to claim the book. Read the original BetaNews announcement.
The article’s $18 was the stated usual retail value of the promoted ebook. It was not a promise that every edition or format cost $18. The available information establishes the deadline, but not whether the old claim form still loads or delivers a file today.
Which Outlook For Dummies books are listed by Wiley?
Wiley’s catalog distinguishes the 2022 Outlook For Dummies from a later Microsoft 365-focused second edition. They are separate listings, and their software coverage should not be assumed to be interchangeable.

If you need a newer book specifically labeled for Microsoft 365 Outlook, Wiley lists Microsoft 365 Outlook For Dummies, 2nd Edition, released in January 2025. It is a paid alternative, not the expired giveaway. The 2022 Outlook For Dummies is the book associated with the promotion and has an Office 2021 context in the announcement; check the edition and format before buying if you need guidance for a particular Outlook version.
