Which edition should you look for?
Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin is the edition label to look for if you want the complete package. Bandai Namco describes it as the complete Dark Souls II experience. Its Dark Souls Trilogy page says the second installment includes the base game and all three Lost Crowns DLC: Crown of the Sunken King, Crown of the Old Iron King, and Crown of the Ivory King. That collection is listed for PS4 and Xbox One.
Before buying, match the product listing to your device and region. Do not assume that a disc or digital key for one console generation or region will work with another; use the relevant platform store’s compatibility details.

No. FromSoftware says online services for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions ended on 31 March 2024. Offline gameplay remains available, so those copies can still be played without online services.
FromSoftware’s Game FAQ says online services remain ongoing for the PS4, Xbox One, and Windows DirectX 9/11 versions. Service status can change, so check the FAQ for the latest information before relying on online features.
