Not according to Bandicam’s published description: its March 2026 browser launch is an online screen recorder, not a clearly documented online video trimmer. You can record a screen without installing software, but the documented trim-and-export workflows use Bandicam for Windows, Bandicam for Mac, or the separate Bandicut desktop app.
What Bandicam’s browser tool does
Bandicam announced its online screen recorder on March 3, 2026, describing it as launched on February 23. It runs in a compatible browser on Windows, macOS, and Linux, with no download or sign-up required. Bandicam says recordings are processed locally in the browser rather than uploaded during use, and that the tool records in Full HD 1080p.
The recorder can capture a browser tab, a window, or the entire screen. Its listed options include system audio, microphone audio, a webcam overlay, and real-time annotation. Bandicam also says recordings have no watermark. These are recording features; the announcement does not clearly establish a browser-based tool for importing and trimming existing video files.
Bandicam Company CEO Denny Oh said the browser recorder was developed to make screen recording more accessible without requiring installation or adding watermarks. Bandicam’s announcement also claims 10 million users worldwide; that figure is the company’s own statement, not an independent user count.

Bandicam for Mac
Bandicam for Mac’s product page describes a built-in trimmer for recordings. The page also presents the Mac app as watermark-free and advertises screen capture up to 5K at 60 FPS. Those details describe the Mac desktop product, not the browser recorder or the Windows free export.

The vendor lists support for MP4, MOV, MKV, FLV, DVD/VOB, and MP3, and documents cutting, splitting, joining, and audio extraction. Which Bandicam option fits your task?
| Option | Main purpose | Installation | Formats and output | Watermark and processing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Online screen recorder | Record a tab, window, or screen | Runs in a compatible browser; no installation or sign-up | 1080p recording stated by Bandicam; the announcement does not clearly state editable input formats or a video-trimming export format | Bandicam says recordings have no watermark and are processed locally in the browser, not uploaded during use |
| Bandicam for Windows | Record and trim recordings in the built-in player | Windows desktop software | Trimmed export is MP4; original recording remains | Free edited exports include a watermark |
| Bandicam for Mac | Record and trim recordings in the Mac app | Mac desktop software | Up to 5K at 60 FPS is advertised; the cited product description does not state the trimmer’s supported formats | Product page presents output as watermark-free |
| Bandicut | Cut, split, join, or extract audio from video | Desktop software | MP4, MOV, MKV, FLV, DVD/VOB, and MP3 are listed | High-speed mode is described as trimming without re-encoding |
Can you trim MP4, MOV, or MKV files without downloading anything?
The browser recorder announcement does not clearly document importing existing MP4, MOV, or MKV files for trimming. It should not be treated as an online cutter on the evidence Bandicam publishes there. For a documented desktop workflow, Windows Bandicam exports its trimmed video as MP4; Bandicut lists MP4, MOV, and MKV among its supported formats. Bandicam’s Mac page describes an in-app trimmer but does not state its supported input or export formats in the cited description.
Choose the browser recorder if you need to capture your screen without installing software. Choose Windows Bandicam to make a basic trim of a recording and accept a watermark on free exports. For Mac, the built-in trimmer is the documented in-app option. Choose Bandicut when you need broader listed formats, splitting or joining, or its high-speed no-re-encoding mode.
