“Carbon fiber” does not specify the whole paddle. Check the exact face material and finish, core material and thickness, and any product-specific evidence about surface texture retention or durability. For example, a retailer listing for a CRBN elongated paddle describes a raw T700 carbon fiber face, a polypropylene honeycomb core, weights around 7.8–8.1 oz, and multiple core thicknesses.
