The iQOO chipset name also conflicts across surfaced sources, so verify the exact regional model before buying.

The chipset label is unsettled: 91mobiles identifies the iQOO processor as Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, while an official iQOO result surfaced with the name Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Confirm the exact regional product page and model before treating either label as definitive. The update timelines above are also secondary-source claims, not independently confirmed regional support commitments.
Which phone has better performance?
On the listed chipset and the benchmark figures published by 91mobiles, the iQOO 15R is ahead. The page reports Geekbench multi-core scores of 9,090 versus 2,825 and AnTuTu scores of 3,078,708 versus 956,029 for the iQOO and vivo, respectively. These are comparison-page results, not independently verified tests; conditions such as software version, performance mode, and device temperature were not provided. Use them as an indication of that page’s comparison, not a guarantee of everyday speed.

The chipset naming conflict makes it especially important to confirm the processor for the exact iQOO model sold in your market. Do not base a purchase on the disputed label alone.
Display: larger screen or higher refresh rate?
The vivo S2 5G has the larger listed panel at 6.83 inches, compared with 6.59 inches on the iQOO 15R. That extra area may suit video viewing and reading. The iQOO’s listed 144 Hz refresh rate is higher than the vivo’s 120 Hz, which can make supported motion appear smoother. Refresh rate alone does not establish overall display quality, and the evidence does not establish a dimensions or weight comparison.

Cameras: ultrawide versus depth sensor
Both phones list a 50 MP main rear camera and a 32 MP front camera. The secondary rear cameras differ: iQOO lists an 8 MP ultrawide, while vivo lists a 2 MP depth sensor. An ultrawide provides a different framing option; a depth sensor is a different kind of supporting camera. The listed megapixels and camera types do not establish which phone takes better photos, and no image-quality test is available here.
Battery capacity and charging
The iQOO 15R lists a 7,600 mAh battery and 100 W charging; the vivo S2 5G lists 7,050 mAh and 44 W. Those specifications favor the iQOO for capacity and stated wired charging rate, but they do not by themselves determine real-world endurance or charging time.
