Reports say a non-Ultra Core 200 refresh, described as “Raptor Lake Next,” could include HX laptop chips, but Intel’s published materials reviewed here do not establish its final name, specifications, launch date or laptop availability. That report is also separate from Intel’s officially announced Core Ultra 200HX Plus family.
What is Intel Core 2000HX?
“Core 2000HX” is not a confirmed Intel product name in the company’s published sources reviewed here. VideoCardz, citing leaker Jaykihn, reports that a product line called “Raptor Lake Next” is planned for HX laptops. Tom’s Hardware separately reports that the alleged line may retain Core 200 branding and include mobile HX processors. Those are leak-based reports, not an Intel announcement.
The reports do not establish final branding or model numbers, core counts, clock speeds, power, graphics, memory support, pricing, release timing or specific laptop models. Until Intel or a laptop maker confirms those details, treat “Core 2000HX” as shorthand for a reported possibility—not a confirmed processor you can buy or compare by specifications.
VideoCardz’s report and Tom’s Hardware’s June 14, 2026 report are the sources for the Raptor Lake Next claims.

Is Intel bringing Raptor Lake back to HX laptops?
Possibly, according to those reports—but Intel has not confirmed a return under a new Core 200 or Core 2000HX name. Raptor Lake already appeared in Intel’s mobile HX lineup: the company identified its 13th Gen i5-13500HX as formerly codenamed Raptor Lake, and its 14th Gen mobile family as Raptor Lake Refresh.
Intel’s January 8, 2024 announcement described the 14th Gen mobile family as “code-named Raptor Lake Refresh.” It said the Core i9-14900HX had 24 cores, 32 threads and up to 5.8 GHz turbo frequency, and stated that more than 60 partner systems powered by 14th Gen HX processors were coming to market in 2024. Those are historical claims about that announced generation, not details for a future refresh. Intel’s CES 2024 announcement includes the statement.

How does the report differ from Core Ultra 200HX Plus?
Intel officially announced the Core Ultra 200HX Plus family on March 17, 2026, naming the Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus and Core Ultra 7 270HX Plus. Intel documents the Core Ultra 200HX series separately. This confirmed Core Ultra family is not evidence that the reported non-Ultra Core 200 refresh exists, and the two names should not be treated as interchangeable.
For Intel’s announcement, see Intel’s Core Ultra 200HX Plus launch release. Its separate documentation is listed in Intel’s processor datasheet support page.

What confirmed Raptor Lake HX processors can you compare against?
The Core i9-14900HX is a real, launched 14th Gen Raptor Lake mobile processor, not the rumored part. Intel ARK identifies it as a mobile 14th Gen Core i9 with the former codename Raptor Lake, 36 MB cache and up to 5.80 GHz. Intel’s CES announcement lists 24 cores and 32 threads. These published specifications give a concrete point of reference, but do not predict what a future Core 200 model might offer. View the Intel ARK record for the i9-14900HX.
Another documented example is the Core i5-13500HX. Intel ARK lists it as launched in Q1 2023, with 14 cores (6 P-cores and 8 E-cores), 20 threads, up to 4.70 GHz turbo, 24 MB Intel Smart Cache, 55 W processor base power and 157 W maximum turbo power. These figures apply to that specific 13th Gen processor. View its Intel ARK specifications.

Can you use 14th Gen HX memory specifications for the rumored chips?
No. Intel’s 14th Gen HX product brief lists support for DDR5 up to 5600 MT/s and DDR4 up to 3200 MT/s for that documented family. Intel has not confirmed whether a reported Raptor Lake Next HX processor would support either memory type or those speeds. Do not use the 14th Gen figures as specifications for an unannounced product. See Intel’s 14th Gen HX product brief.

For a currently listed laptop, check the exact processor and full laptop model rather than relying on a family name or rumor. Laptop cooling and configuration also matter, so wait for reviews of the specific machine before drawing conclusions about performance or battery life. For a future product, look for an Intel announcement or an OEM product listing that confirms the model and availability; no official confirmation of those details for the reported Core 200 line appears in the sources cited here.
