INJ is tied to Injective’s finance-oriented ecosystem and tokenomics; ETH to Ethereum’s broader network and application ecosystem; and SOL to Solana’s network. A useful comparison weighs token design alongside adoption, valuation, staking, governance and risk—not just a burn mechanism or a headline staking rate.
Information current as of October 7, 2026. This is a comparison framework, not a return forecast or personalized investment recommendation. Crypto prices and on-chain measures can change quickly, and the figures below are not a matched, live comparison across all three networks.
What owning each token represents
INJ: exposure to Injective
Injective describes itself as a finance-focused blockchain and INJ as its native token. The project identifies staking and governance as token uses and promotes a community buyback that burns tokens. Those are features of the network’s design; they do not establish that demand will grow or that INJ’s price will rise. Injective’s May 2024 tokenomics paper and a registration statement filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in September 2026 describe issuance rules and risks, including adaptive issuance and the possibility that staking rules may change.
ETH: exposure to Ethereum
ETH provides exposure to Ethereum’s network and application ecosystem. Ethereum’s proof-of-stake system allows participation through validator operation or pooled staking, but network governance is not a direct token-holder referendum: protocol decisions emerge from a broader social and technical process involving multiple stakeholders.

SOL: exposure to Solana
SOL provides exposure to Solana’s network. Solana’s documentation describes a proof-of-stake system secured by validators and delegated stake. Its token economics combine an inflation schedule with transaction-fee mechanics, so neither staking rewards nor fee burns alone tell the whole story of supply or investor returns.
How the three compare on the evidence available
The figures and design claims below come from the named project documentation and filing disclosures. The available figures do not form a same-date, same-methodology ranking of network adoption or valuation.

| Comparison | INJ / Injective | ETH / Ethereum | SOL / Solana |
|---|---|---|---|
| Network exposure | Finance-focused blockchain; INJ is its native token. (Injective token materials and May 2024 tokenomics paper) | Proof-of-stake protocol and broad application ecosystem. (Ethereum staking and governance documentation) | Proof-of-stake network secured by validators and delegated stake. (Solana documentation) |
| Supply and fee mechanics | Project describes revenue-funded monthly buybacks and permanent burns. The 2026 filing describes INJ 3.0 issuance bounds and adaptive supply behavior. A burn does not by itself establish net deflation. | A comparable current net-issuance figure is not stated in the cited Ethereum materials. | Published inflation schedule parameters are 8% initial inflation, 15% annual disinflation and 1.5% long-term inflation. Solana burns half the base transaction fee and sends priority fees to validators. |
| Staking | Holders may stake and participate in governance. The 2026 SEC-filed registration statement notes risks including possible slashing if parameters change. | Solo validator activation requires 32 ETH. Pools let smaller holders participate, with provider- and product-specific trade-offs. | Rewards vary with inflation, the share of SOL staked, validator uptime and commission. Activation and deactivation take multiple epochs. Solana documentation says protocol slashing was not implemented in the documented design. |
| Governance | Staking includes governance participation, according to Injective materials and the SEC-filed registration statement. | Protocol decisions follow a broader social and technical process rather than a direct token-holder vote. | A directly comparable governance analysis is not established by the cited Solana materials. |
| Dated adoption and valuation snapshot | A 21Shares registration statement filed with the SEC in September 2026 reported about $9.12 million in TVL and about $488 million in INJ market capitalization as of September 1, 2026. | Matching current TVL, usage and valuation figures are not stated in the cited sources. | Matching current TVL, usage and valuation figures are not stated in the cited sources. |
The September 1 INJ figures are a dated filing snapshot, not live data. They should not be compared with ETH or SOL values from a different date or provider. An SEC-filed registration statement is a disclosure by its registrant, not SEC approval or endorsement of a token.
What token burns and issuance can—and cannot—tell you
INJ buybacks and burns
Injective’s buyback-and-burn description is one part of its supply story. To assess whether the mechanism reduces circulating supply over a period, an investor would also need issuance and burn data for the same period and to account for rule changes. The project’s May 2024 tokenomics paper and 2026 filing describe adaptive issuance and parameters that may change; a burn announcement alone is not proof of net deflation.

SOL inflation and transaction fees
Solana’s published schedule lists 8% initial inflation, a 15% annual disinflation rate and a 1.5% long-term inflation rate. These are schedule parameters, not a current realized staking yield or a guaranteed investor return. The fee model also burns half of the base fee while directing priority fees to validators, so fee activity and supply effects should be considered together.
ETH supply comparison
The cited materials do not provide a current ETH net-issuance figure comparable with the INJ and SOL details above. It would be misleading to fill that gap with a number from another date or methodology.

Staking access is not the same as a guaranteed return
INJ
INJ staking is associated with governance participation, but staking also carries network and implementation risks. The 2026 SEC-filed registration statement notes that INJ could be lost through slashing if parameters change. Review the current protocol rules and the terms of any staking service before committing tokens.
ETH
Ethereum.org’s pooled-staking guidance, last updated August 17, 2026, describes a 32 ETH minimum for solo validator activation. Pooling allows smaller holders to participate, but introduces trade-offs that depend on the provider and product. Pooled or liquid-staking options can add provider, smart-contract, liquidity and token-pricing risks beyond operating a validator directly.

SOL
Solana says staking rewards depend on inflation, the fraction of SOL staked, validator uptime and commission. Its published inflation schedule should not be read as an individual holder’s yield. Solana’s documentation also says activation and deactivation take multiple epochs, which matters if access to staked assets is time-sensitive.
A practical framework for comparing INJ, ETH and SOL
Before deciding among the tokens, compare them using figures that refer to the same period and use consistent definitions. A snapshot for only one asset cannot establish a winner.
- Check network activity and ecosystem use. Look for comparable measures of usage, fees and application activity, and verify the date and methodology behind each number.
- Examine token value accrual. Separate the network’s utility from the mechanisms that may affect token supply or demand. For supply analysis, compare issuance and burns over the same interval.
- Model staking trade-offs. Account for validator or pool access, commissions, operational and slashing risks, provider exposure, liquidity and any activation or withdrawal delay. Treat quoted protocol rewards as variable rather than assured.
- Assess governance and change risk. Consider who can propose or implement protocol changes, how stakeholders participate, and whether token economics or staking parameters can be revised.
- Compare valuation at one date. Use the same date and consistent data definitions for market capitalization and any adoption measure such as TVL. Do not pair a dated filing number for one token with a live quote or differently sourced metric for another.
- Consider portfolio and custody risks. Network utility does not prevent token prices from falling substantially. Validator, custody, bridge, governance, regulatory and market risks can vary by implementation.
What the available comparison does not establish
The evidence cited here does not provide matched current market capitalization, TVL, active-user, fee-revenue, developer-activity or token-issuance figures for INJ, ETH and SOL on one date and under one methodology. It therefore supports a comparison of selected design features, not a quantitative adoption ranking, price target or forecast of relative returns. Any investment decision also depends on valuation and risks that can change after the dated figures above.
