iFun Screen Recorder launched in March 2021 as a Windows recorder that IObit said could capture without a time limit or forced watermark. Its advertised toolkit included screen, microphone, speaker, and webcam recording, plus basic trimming. Those details describe the launch-era offer—not a verified current guarantee: official current version, compatibility, pricing, and Pro terms are not established here.
What iFun Screen Recorder 1.0 does
IObit introduced iFun Screen Recorder on March 24, 2021, for recording video calls, creating tutorials, and capturing game highlights. The launch announcement described screen capture with microphone, speaker, and webcam inputs, alongside format and quality controls. IObit’s launch announcement advertised a maximum video size of 4096×2160 and up to 60 FPS. Those are stated capabilities, not a guarantee that every Windows PC can record smoothly at those settings.
BetaNews’s review, published the next day, described three capture choices: full screen, an application window, or a selected region. It also noted controls for speaker and microphone audio, mouse visibility, and webcam overlay. Its observed default was MP4/H.264. These are launch-era observations, not a current software test. Read the BetaNews review.
Was it free, and did it add a watermark?
IObit’s March 2021 announcement said recordings had no time limit and no watermark. BetaNews likewise described the free version as avoiding time limits and unwanted watermarks. Treat this as historical launch-era information rather than a promise about a current installer or plan.

- 14" diagonal, 1366x768 resolution, HD BrightView LED, Glossy NON-TOUCH Display
BetaNews reported a Pro option at $29.99 for a 12-month subscription in 2021. It associated Pro with features including gameplay recording up to 60 FPS, GPU acceleration, advanced image coding, and custom logo or watermark features. That is an old reported price and feature boundary; current pricing and Pro terms have not been confirmed.
Audio, formats, and editing
The product was designed to combine screen video with narration or system sound. IObit listed microphone and speaker recording, while BetaNews described their controls as toggleable. The launch feature list also included webcam overlay, useful when a tutorial or presentation needs a presenter view.

IObit advertised video output in MP4, AVI, FLV, GIF, and other formats, and audio output in MP3, AAC, AC3, and other formats. A product-details PDF also lists MKV, MOV, and TS, as well as click effects and screenshots during recording. These are vendor-published feature claims, not independent compatibility tests. BetaNews reported basic post-recording trimming and upload options; its article also described F9 to start, F10 to pause, and F11 for a screenshot in the reviewed version.
Windows compatibility and current version
BetaNews identified version 1.0.2 as available for Windows 7 or later in March 2021. That statement is specific to the release period and does not establish support for current Windows editions or the current installer.

A Wingetly third-party package page lists version 1.2.0.261 and an update date of August 10, 2026. This listing is not confirmation of an official current release or download. - Tutorials and presentations: the reviewed capture modes included full screen, a window, or a selected region, with microphone and webcam options.
- Calls and demonstrations: the advertised combination of screen, microphone, and speaker recording could capture both what was shown and spoken audio.
- Game clips: IObit promoted highlight capture, but the advertised 60 FPS ceiling does not establish performance on a particular computer. BetaNews placed gameplay recording up to 60 FPS among the Pro features it reported in 2021.
For narration, a USB microphone is an optional setup choice, not a requirement; the software’s launch feature list included microphone recording.

What to verify before relying on it
- Whether the current official installer is available and which Windows versions it supports.
- Whether the free version still has the same time-limit and watermark behavior described in 2021.
- Which capture, performance, and editing features currently require Pro, and what that plan costs.
- Whether your PC can record at your intended resolution and frame rate without dropped frames or other problems.
