Where you can watch NRL depends on your location and the match. For 2026, the NRL lists Nine/9Now, Kayo and Foxtel in Australia; Sky in New Zealand; and Watch NRL in eligible international territories outside Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. The NRL’s country-by-country broadcaster directory also lists local TV services. No single service is available everywhere or guaranteed to carry every event live.
Where to watch NRL in 2026
The NRL’s official viewing guide is the best starting point: choose your country, then check the broadcaster’s schedule for the match you want. The services below are listed for 2026; coverage can differ by competition, match and territory.
| Viewer location | Services listed | Coverage details |
|---|---|---|
| Australia | Nine/9Now, Kayo, Foxtel | Nine offers three live free-to-air games each week, according to the NRL viewing page. Watch NRL’s help page describes Kayo as showing all 2026 Premiership rounds live and on demand. Its Kayo and Foxtel descriptions distinguish live Finals coverage before the Grand Final from delayed Grand Final coverage. |
| New Zealand | Sky | Sky is the NRL’s listed 2026 route. The more-than-130-fixture offer on Sky NZ free platforms belongs to the deal starting in 2028, not the 2026 season. |
| Eligible international territories outside Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific exclusions | Watch NRL | The service lists all 2026 Premiership and Finals matches live and on demand, plus State of Origin, NRLW and selected additional rugby league. Check that your country is eligible before subscribing. |
| United States | Fox Sports US | The NRL directory lists three regular-season matches per week; it lists all Finals, NRLW and Origin matches separately. Confirm current carriage and the schedule with the provider. |
| United Kingdom | Sky Sports | The NRL directory lists three regular-season matches per week; it lists all Finals, NRLW and Origin matches separately. Confirm the specific match with the provider. |
The NRL directory also names ESPN Africa, Rogers Sportsnet in Canada, Premier Sports Asia in listed Asian territories, ESPN in the Netherlands, beIN Sports France, SportDigital in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and Sport24 for in-flight service. These listings are a country-by-country starting point, not a guarantee that providers carry identical packages across platforms or markets.
How Pacific viewers can access matches
Watch NRL is not available in Australia, New Zealand or the Pacific territories it excludes. In some Pacific countries, local free-to-air broadcasters provide another route. A Free TV Australia and PacificAus TV announcement dated March 5, 2026 said viewers in Samoa, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Kiribati, Nauru, Tuvalu, Tonga, Cook Islands, Niue and Timor-Leste would receive two live and one delayed NRL match each week through local free-to-air broadcasters. The announcement said Fiji and Papua New Guinea already had broadcast arrangements.

The NRL directory gives local listings that include Fiji TV, TVWAN, TV3 Samoa, Tonga Digicel, TTV Solomons and Sky Pacific. Availability and schedules vary by country; check the NRL listing and the local broadcaster rather than assuming that a service in a nearby territory carries the same matches.
Does one service show every NRL game live?
Not everywhere, and not necessarily for every event. Rights and availability are split by territory and competition. For example, in Australia, Nine’s free-to-air offering is three live games weekly, while Watch NRL’s Australian help page describes Kayo as carrying every 2026 Premiership round live and on demand. That same help page distinguishes Finals before the Grand Final from delayed Grand Final coverage on Kayo and Foxtel. For a particular game, confirm both the broadcaster and whether its listing says live, delayed or on demand.

International schedules can also be narrower than a service’s full-season coverage elsewhere. The NRL directory lists three regular-season matches per week for Fox Sports US and Sky Sports UK, while listing Finals, NRLW and Origin separately. A provider’s presence in the directory does not by itself establish that it carries every regular-season match.

What to compare before subscribing
- Territory eligibility: Confirm the service is available where you will watch. Watch NRL excludes Australia, New Zealand and specified Pacific territories.
- Match and competition coverage: Check the exact fixture and whether you want regular-season NRL, Finals, State of Origin, NRLW or another competition.
- Live versus replay access: A service may offer a match live, on demand, delayed or in a different combination depending on the event.
- Devices: Watch NRL lists web browsers, iOS and Android mobile or tablet apps, Apple TV and Chromecast. It also advertises downloads of current-season matches and shows for offline viewing. Check its device list for your specific model and feature.
- Price and contract: The cited official listings do not provide a stable, directly comparable current price table. Check the provider’s checkout and terms. Foxtel’s 2026 page describes its Sports pack as included in specified bundles on either a 12-month plan or a no-lock-in contract; verify current bundle availability and price with Foxtel.
What changes under the 2028 broadcast-rights deal
On July 7, 2026, the Australian Rugby League Commission announced a seven-year agreement with Foxtel Group, Nine and Sky NZ that begins in 2028. These are future terms, not a description of 2026 viewing access.
