The legal way to stream Formula 1 live depends on where you live and which season you want to watch. In the United States, Formula 1 says Apple TV is its official broadcaster for 2026, with F1 TV included in an Apple TV subscription. Elsewhere, check Formula 1’s country-by-country broadcaster directory before subscribing: F1 TV Pro is available only in selected countries, and local packages differ.
Start with your country and the season
Formula 1’s live rights are territorial, not global. A streaming service with live rights in one country may not offer the same coverage where you live. Start with Formula 1’s official broadcaster directory, select your country, and then verify the current season and package on the broadcaster’s own service before paying. The directory also advises checking local listings for exact television coverage.
Do not assume a service from another country is a legal or available workaround. A service’s app being accessible does not establish that it has local live rights or that a subscription will work for your location.

F1 TV Pro: only where offered
F1 TV Pro is not available worldwide. Formula 1 describes it as an offer in selected countries, so confirm that your country is eligible before considering it. Where available, the official 2026 offer includes every Formula 1 weekend live, onboard views from all 22 drivers, session replays and highlights, analysis, and pre- and post-race shows. Check the current local offer and subscription terms on Formula 1’s F1 TV page.
Local broadcaster apps and streaming packages
In many territories, the authorized broadcaster is a television network or a streaming service with a local package. The directory lists providers by country, but a broadcaster’s rights do not necessarily mean every session is included in every plan. Confirm whether the package covers practice, qualifying, Sprint sessions and the Grand Prix, and whether any races are live, delayed or highlights-only.

How to choose a package without paying for the wrong coverage
- Open the official directory. Find your country in Formula 1’s broadcaster list and note the provider named for your territory.
- Check the season and rights window. A deal announcement may cover several seasons, but rights and offers can change. Confirm the broadcaster still carries the season you want to watch.
- Check the exact live sessions. Look for practice, qualifying, Sprint and Grand Prix coverage. Distinguish full live weekends from selected live races, delayed broadcasts and highlights.
- Check the package itself. A broadcaster may offer different plans or services. Verify that the package you intend to buy includes live F1, rather than assuming all subscriptions to that provider do.
- Review current checkout terms. Prices, trials, supported devices and package conditions were not established in the cited rights announcements. Confirm those details directly with the provider before subscribing.
What free-to-air coverage does—and does not—mean
Free access is a local exception, not a global substitute for a live subscription. The announced arrangements illustrate why it is important to check race-by-race details: UK viewers have free highlights of every Grand Prix and live coverage of the British Grand Prix; Italy’s TV8 carries the Italian Grand Prix live; Brazil’s TV Globo offering includes 15 Grands Prix live and on delay. These offers do not establish that every race or session is free in those countries, and they do not apply elsewhere.
Formula 1’s published announcements do not provide an independent statistic for how much a viewer saves by watching without cable. The amount, if any, depends on the services and plans available in the viewer’s country and what they would otherwise pay.
