For the 2026 Formula 1 season in the United States, Apple TV is the official home for live F1 coverage. Watch in the Apple TV app on a compatible smart TV, phone, tablet, streaming device, or game console, or sign in at tv.apple.com on a computer. Most sessions require a subscription, though Apple lists some free viewing; availability and broadcast rights differ by country.
How to watch F1 on each type of device
Start with a device you already own. You do not need to buy Apple TV hardware if your television or another device supports the Apple TV app.
Smart TV
- Open the TV’s app store and search for Apple TV.
- Install and open the app, then sign in with your Apple Account.
- Find Formula 1 in the app and choose the live session or available replay.
Apple lists Samsung, LG, Sony, VIZIO, TCL, and other smart TVs among supported platforms. That broad list does not establish support for every model or model year, so check the app store on your particular television or Apple’s current device and viewing information.
Phone or tablet
Use the Apple TV app on iPhone or iPad. Apple also lists Android devices as supported. Sign in, open the Formula 1 section, and select the session. For a larger screen, you can use a supported TV app or streaming device instead.

Computer
Open tv.apple.com in a browser and sign in. Apple lists web viewing and names Mac and Windows among its device options.
Streaming device or game console
Apple lists Apple TV 4K, Roku, Amazon Fire TV devices, Chromecast with Google TV, PlayStation, and Xbox. Install or open the Apple TV app on a supported device, sign in, and choose the event. These devices are alternatives when the TV itself does not support the app—not a requirement for watching.

What you can watch, and whether it is free
Apple says its U.S. subscription includes every practice, qualifying session, Sprint, and Grand Prix. Apple also lists every practice and select race weekends as available without a subscription; that does not mean every race or session is free. Check the listing for the particular event in the Apple TV app before race weekend. Details are on Apple’s F1 viewing page.
Apple’s April 29, 2026 announcement listed Apple TV at $12.99 per month with a seven-day free trial for new subscribers. That is a dated offer, not a guarantee of the price or trial currently available; confirm the terms shown when you subscribe. Apple’s announcement gives the date and offer.

How to watch if you miss a session
Apple says full replays and highlights are available after sessions. Its F1 coverage also includes replays and highlights of races and track events during a Grand Prix, plus interviews, press conferences, and other programming. Formula 1 identifies Race in 30 as another catch-up option. Availability can vary by event and timing; check the event page in the app. Apple’s viewing information and Formula 1’s integration announcement describe the catch-up coverage.
Commentary, alternate broadcasts, and Multiview
Apple says English and Spanish commentary are available, along with F1 TV and Sky Sports broadcasts when viewing F1 on Apple TV. U.S. Apple TV subscribers also get F1 TV Premium at no additional cost through their Apple Account. Formula 1 says its F1 TV app provides F2, F3, F1 Academy, and Porsche Supercup through the subscription on Apple TV, iPad, and iPhone. Multiview can display up to four feeds at once on supported Apple TV 4K, iPad, and Vision Pro devices. It is an optional feature for following several feeds simultaneously; ordinary single-feed viewing does not require it. Check Apple’s device and feature details for current compatibility.

Other U.S. ways to watch announced for 2026
Apple announced additional, event-dependent options for the 2026 U.S. season. These are not substitutes for assuming a particular race is available on every listed service: confirm the current race and provider listing before relying on one.

- Univision: a simulcast of one race with pre- and post-race programming.
- IMAX theaters: select races—Miami, Monaco, Silverstone, Monza, and Austin—were announced for at least 50 theaters.
- Provider integrations: Apple described access through DIRECTV, EverPass, Xfinity, Roku Channel, and Prime Video, subject to service or subscription conditions.

Before you start streaming
- Confirm that you are using the U.S. service and that your device supports the Apple TV app or web player.
- Sign in with the account tied to your subscription, if the session requires one.
- Check the event listing for live access, any free viewing, commentary choices, and replay availability.
- If the app is missing from an older TV, use a compatible phone, computer, console, or streaming device instead of assuming the TV is supported.
Broadcast rights vary by country and season. The instructions here apply to the United States in 2026; they should not be treated as a worldwide viewing guide.
