Wash a post-lipo faja according to its sewn-in care label, and follow your surgical team’s instructions about when it is safe to remove. There is no single wash method for every garment: some makers require hand washing, while others allow a delicate machine cycle. Air drying is common in the cited manufacturer guidance, but the label for your specific faja takes priority.
Before washing, check the label and your recovery instructions

Dry the faja and plan for the time it is off
After washing, follow the garment maker’s drying directions and let the faja dry fully before putting it back on. Ask your care team how to manage the time without compression; do not extend or change your prescribed wear schedule on your own. Contour Fajas recommends having a second garment available to wear while the first is being washed. Treat that as a practical manufacturer suggestion, not a medical requirement, and use another garment only if your treating team approves it.
Protect your skin and incision sites
Follow your surgical team’s instructions for incision care and garment use. The Portland Plastic Surgery Group sheet tells its patients to keep incisions clean and dry and inspect them daily. Medical Z cautions that its cited garment should not be worn directly on injured skin. These directions are specific to their respective guidance; contact your care team if you have a question about your skin, an incision, or whether the faja should be worn over a particular area.
