You can use Qwen2.5-Max through Qwen Chat or, for an application, Alibaba Cloud Model Studio’s API. Official materials reviewed do not identify an “uncensored” mode or a setting that disables safeguards. You can make legitimate requests clearer by specifying the task, context, tone, and output format, but do not treat prompt wording or API parameters as a way to bypass safety controls.
Use Qwen Chat for a no-code conversation
Qwen’s January 28, 2025 announcement said Qwen2.5-Max was available in Qwen Chat, with conversational use and features such as artifacts and search. Open the current Qwen Chat interface and check whether Qwen2.5-Max is still selectable; a dated announcement does not guarantee that the model remains available in every current interface or region. This is the simpler route if you want to try the model without writing code or managing an API key.
Call Qwen2.5-Max through the Model Studio API
The 2025 launch announcement gives the model identifier qwen-max-2025-01-25 and shows an OpenAI-compatible Python client call. Treat this as the identifier and example published in that announcement, not confirmation that the snapshot is currently available to your account or region.

- Register for an Alibaba Cloud account and activate Model Studio.
- Create an API key in the Alibaba Cloud console. Keep it private; do not place it in public code or a client-side application.
- Check the current console and API documentation for the model’s availability in your region, current identifier, pricing, and quota before integrating it.
- Use the compatible-mode endpoint shown in the announcement and send a chat-completions request. The example pattern is:

Does Qwen2.5-Max have an uncensored mode?
The official materials reviewed do not document an uncensored switch, prompt, or API setting. Qwen’s Usage Policy describes safety measures that include training models to refuse harmful instructions, and Alibaba’s governance guidance lists prohibited uses. Get better results without trying to bypass safeguards
For a legitimate request, give the model useful context and a precise deliverable. Specify the audience, desired level of detail, tone, and format; separate facts you provide from conclusions you want; and ask it to flag uncertainty when accuracy matters. If a request is refused, revise it toward a clearly lawful, non-harmful goal rather than asking the model to ignore its safeguards.
Use appropriate human review for high-risk decisions
Alibaba’s Model Governance page states: “For high-risk decisions (e.g., healthcare, legal, financial), a qualified human professional must review AI outputs before finalizing or disseminating them.” The same page identifies prohibited uses that include harm to minors, privacy violations, promotion of violence or hate, fraud or misinformation, and exploitation.
