- Identify the exact model. Check the appliance label and use its manual; fill amounts and measuring aids can differ between models.
- Preheat it as directed. Follow the model’s manual for preheating and any other preparation before adding batter.
- Measure with the supplied cup or fill line. Use the appliance’s own measuring reference rather than estimating or borrowing another model’s quantity.
- Pour slowly through the opening. Keep the stream controlled and stop at the stated fill reference. If your manual says to pause and let batter drain before adding more, follow that sequence.

Why you should not use one universal cup measure
Vertical waffle makers do not share a standard fill amount. For example, ProfiCook lists a 160 ml measuring aid for its PC-WA 1350, while Cuisinart’s guidance for the WAF-V100C uses that model’s fill line. What to do if batter overflows
- Stop pouring if batter starts rising out of the opening; do not add more while the excess is escaping.
