The game has several distinct systems: Craft makes some weapons and Hunter Enhancement Materials, artifacts improve a character’s equipment stats, and Jinwoo’s Armory adds power from registered Jinwoo Exclusive Weapons. They have different unlock requirements, so there is no single upgrade button or universally optimal order.
What should you upgrade first?
Use your current roster and the equipment you expect to keep as your guide. A practical, cautious order is to develop the Hunters and weapons you rely on, equip useful artifacts with matching set effects, and then spend more heavily on artifact enhancement or substat improvements when the item is worth keeping. This is a decision rule based on the systems’ costs and set bonuses, not a tested build order; the best choice depends on your owned Hunters, weapons, and progression.
- Check the item’s recipe, available craft count, or displayed material cost before spending.
- For artifacts, look for a useful set and suitable base stats before investing deeply in enhancement or enchantment.
- Lock valuable artifacts so they are not accidentally consumed as materials.
- Use the live interface to verify eligibility, rates, and current requirements; official guides note that details can change.
Craft weapons and Hunter Enhancement Materials
Craft unlocks when Sung Jinwoo reaches level 7. Open it through Menu → Workshop → Craft, or use Lobby → Management (NPC May) → Craft. Select an item to inspect its information and craft count, then confirm the craft. Crafting consumes the selected materials and Gold; it does not fail. Netmarble’s Craft guide says some Hunter weapons and items are not craftable, so check the available list rather than assuming a particular Hunter weapon can be made.
Craft can make weapons for Jinwoo and Hunter Enhancement Materials. The interface shows the recipe and available craft count, which are the useful checks before committing resources. The guide establishes the system and its cost types, but not one best recipe or a universally best material-farming route.

Improve Hunter and Jinwoo weapons without confusing them with the Armory
Individual weapons and the Armory are separate parts of progression. Craft is one route to some Jinwoo weapons and Hunter Enhancement Materials; the Armory instead turns part of the Total Power of registered, owned Sung Jinwoo Exclusive Weapons into an additional Jinwoo power bonus.
The Armory unlocks at Jinwoo level 30. Register eligible owned Jinwoo Exclusive Weapons to unlocked slots, and enhance slots with Marks of Time. The Armory’s Total Power contributes in combat and squad formation. Follow the slot requirements shown in-game: Netmarble’s Armory guide does not establish one slot-enhancement priority that suits every account.

Use artifacts for equipment stats and set effects
Artifacts can be equipped by Sung Jinwoo and other Hunters. Access begins after Chapter 5, Episode 1; necklaces and bracelets become available after Chapter 9, while rings and earrings become available after Chapter 12. Equipping matching pieces grants additional set effects. You can lock artifacts to protect them from accidental use as materials. These unlocks and mechanics are described in Netmarble’s Artifacts guide.
Enhancement: raise stats, with lower success rates at higher tiers
Artifact enhancement raises stats. At +5, +10, +15, and +20, it adds a supporting stat; on other successful enhancement steps, a random existing supporting stat increases. Each failure adds 1 percentage point to the bonus rate, which resets after a successful enhancement.

Netmarble’s Artifact Rates page lists the success chance by tier. The page does not display a publication or revision year:

Because high-tier attempts have lower listed success rates, consider whether an artifact’s set and stats justify continued investment before pushing it further. The interface’s current requirements and costs should guide individual decisions.

Enchantment: target a substat
Enchantment lets you select a substat to improve. The bonus is random within the listed range, and the process consumes materials and Gold. If the new result is not higher than the existing substat, it is not saved. Continuous Enchantment can repeat until the selected substat reaches its maximum. The system was introduced in an update announced by Netmarble on November 28, 2024; see the update announcement.
Reforging: inspect the preview before confirming
Reforging can increase stats on eligible artifacts, and its interface previews the resulting stats, equipment score, and material costs. It preserves the artifact’s enhancement tier and enchantment stats, and does not change its artifact effect type. It is available once per eligible Heroic–Legendary artifact above the required level; event artifacts are excluded. Check the in-game eligibility and preview before confirming, since the source guide does not specify a universal material budget.

Why there is no universal upgrade order or farming route
The official guides explain unlocks, system functions, and cost types, but they do not set out one optimal order for every roster, a total material budget, or a best farming route by account level. Your choices depend on which Hunters and weapons you own, your progression, and the equipment stats you obtain. Reward and eligibility details can also change. Treat the guides as explanations of system structure and use the live game’s recipes, requirements, rates, and rewards for current decisions.
