Use the official MOBAPAD app to check for M12 Pro firmware and configure supported controller settings. First confirm the exact model name on your controller or packaging: MOBAPAD’s current documentation also refers to M12 HD and M12 S, and does not establish that their firmware or instructions apply to the M12 Pro.
Before you update: confirm the controller model
Check the model name printed on the controller, packaging, or order listing. MOBAPAD markets an M12 Pro, but its manual index lists M12 HD and M12 S manuals, not an M12 Pro manual. Do not select firmware or follow instructions for one of those models unless MOBAPAD confirms they match your controller.
This distinction matters because the App Store release notes give firmware requirements for M12-HD and M12-S features, but do not identify those requirements as M12 Pro requirements. If the app or a manual offers a different M12 model name, pause and ask MOBAPAD support to confirm the correct instructions.
Update M12 Pro firmware with the MOBAPAD app
- Install the official app. Download the Android or iOS version from MOBAPAD’s downloads page. The page lists MOBAPAD App version 2.8.5. Its separate PC app is identified as Huben2 only, so do not use it for the M12 Pro on the basis of that listing.
- Connect and select the controller in the app. MOBAPAD says the M12 Pro supports its app on Android and iOS. Use the app’s own device-selection and connection prompts; the available official pages do not specify the exact pairing taps or button sequence for M12 Pro.
- Follow an applicable firmware prompt. If the app recognizes the exact model and offers firmware for it, follow the prompt shown in the app. Stop if the firmware or manual names M12 HD, M12 S, or another model and you have not confirmed it applies to your controller.
- Wait for the app to finish. Use the app’s on-screen status and instructions rather than interrupting the process. MOBAPAD’s available pages do not state an M12 Pro update duration or a recovery procedure for a failed update.
Configure supported controls in the app
MOBAPAD describes its app as supporting firmware upgrades and customization options including keys, combos, macros, joystick curves, triggers, lighting, and vibration. The product page specifically identifies customizable M1/M2 buttons for the M12 Pro, along with RGB lighting, motion sensing, NFC, and TMR Glide joysticks. Available sources do not show the exact M12 Pro settings screen or confirm that every general app feature is available for this model.

Open the recognized controller in the app and use only settings presented for that device. Save or apply changes as the app directs, then check the control in a game. Do not assume a menu documented for M12-HD or M12-S is present or behaves identically on M12 Pro.
Related-model settings are not confirmed M12 Pro instructions
Apple’s notes for MOBAPAD app version 2.8.4 describe joystick dead-zone, dead-zone compensation, motion-control, turbo, and vibration settings for M12-HD; they also describe joystick curve/dead-zone and turbo settings for M12-S. The notes specify M12-HD firmware v0.32 or later and M12-S firmware v1.18 or later for those additions. These are model-specific notes, not established M12 Pro firmware requirements.

Update Switch 2 separately
To update the console, open System Settings > System > System Update. This updates Switch 2 system software; it is separate from updating MOBAPAD controller firmware. Nintendo’s controller firmware guidance on its support page refers to Nintendo Pro Controllers, not the MOBAPAD M12 Pro.
Troubleshoot connection or configuration problems
- The controller does not appear in the app: Verify its exact model name, ensure you installed the Android or iOS MOBAPAD app, and follow the app’s connection prompts. The available official instructions do not document a specific M12 Pro pairing sequence. If it still is not recognized, contact MOBAPAD rather than trying another M12 model’s firmware.
- The app offers an unexpected firmware or manual: Do not proceed until MOBAPAD confirms it matches the exact controller model. M12 Pro’s relationship to the M12 HD and M12 S documentation is not established in the available official materials.
- A change does not seem to work in a game: Check whether the app provides that setting for the recognized controller, apply it as directed, and test the control in a game. General app capabilities do not guarantee every control is available for M12 Pro.
- You need to check console input: Nintendo documents button input testing at System Settings > Controllers and Sensors > Test Input Devices > Test Controller Buttons. This is a console diagnostic described for Nintendo Pro Controllers; whether and how it displays M12 Pro inputs can depend on how the controller is recognized, and the screen may not expose every M12 feature.

MOBAPAD describes the M12 Pro as a split, Joy-Con-style controller for Nintendo Switch 2, with Bluetooth 5.3 and wired connection modes, wake functionality, and the C button. Its product page also lists an 800mAh battery, customizable M1/M2 buttons, NFC, 9-axis motion sensing, TMR Glide joysticks, HD2.0 vibration, and mouse functionality. These are manufacturer specifications and feature claims; consult MOBAPAD’s current product and app instructions for operating details.
