The exact location differs by device. If you only want to stop seeing a calendar, hide it instead—hiding does not unsubscribe you.
Unsubscribe from a calendar on iPhone
Apple’s current removal instructions apply to iOS 26 or later. In this version, the Calendars button is at the bottom of the iPhone screen.
- Open the Calendar app and tap Calendars at the bottom.
- Tap the info button beside the unwanted subscribed calendar.
- Tap Unsubscribe, then tap Unsubscribe again to confirm.
If the calendar appears to be junk, choose Unsubscribe and Report Junk when that option is offered. Apple says this reports it to Apple as a suspected junk subscription. Apple’s iPhone calendar guide
Unsubscribe on iPad
- Open Calendar and tap Calendars at the top left.
- Tap the info button beside the subscription you want to remove.
- Tap Unsubscribe, then confirm with Unsubscribe. For a suspected junk calendar, choose Unsubscribe and Report Junk if it appears.

Unsubscribe on Mac
- Open Calendar. If the calendar list is not visible, choose View > Show Calendar List.
- In the list, Control-click the unwanted calendar.
- Choose Unsubscribe.
Apple also says the unsubscribe action can report a calendar as junk. Apple’s Mac Calendar guide
Choose the right action for the calendar
| Action | What it does | Use it when |

| Unsubscribe | Removes a subscribed calendar. Its source controls the events in that subscription. | You subscribed to a calendar and no longer want it. |
| Hide | Stops displaying that calendar’s events without removing the calendar. | You want a clearer view but may want the calendar later, or Calendar does not allow its removal. |
| Delete Calendar | Removes a calendar that Apple makes deletable. | The calendar is yours to delete. The available choice depends on calendar type. |

To hide a calendar, deselect it in the Calendars list. For example, Apple says a calendar that cannot be removed, such as the US Holidays calendar, can be hidden. Apple distinguishes this from deleting or unsubscribing. Delete calendars and remove events on iPhone
If the calendar is shared or belongs to an account
Someone else shared it with you
Sharing controls determine who can access or edit a shared calendar. If you want to stop sharing a calendar you own, change its sharing settings; if you want to leave someone else’s calendar, use the option to unsubscribe where available. It comes from Google or another calendar account
A calendar supplied by an account is not necessarily a subscription. If Calendar does not let you remove it, Apple advises trying the account provider’s website; its support guidance gives Google as an example. Why the calendar may appear on more than one device
An iCloud calendar subscription can appear across devices set up with the same Apple Account. Removing or adding a subscription on one device may therefore relate to what you see on another device signed into that account. Apple’s iCloud instructions also note that subscription menus differ on iOS or iPadOS 18 or earlier; do not assume the iOS 26 button sequence is identical on older versions. If you do not see Unsubscribe
- Check that you selected a subscribed calendar in the Calendars list, rather than an individual event.
- If Calendar offers Delete Calendar instead, the calendar may be a removable calendar rather than a subscription. Do not delete a personal calendar just because you want to clear it from view.
- If neither removal option is available, deselect the calendar to hide it, or check whether it is shared or supplied by an account and use the corresponding controls.
- If you are using an older iOS or iPadOS version, consult the instructions for that version because Apple’s current iPhone removal steps specify iOS 26 or later.
