If you cannot find the button, open Settings, search for “Do not disturb,” and switch it off. If it turns on again, check for an enabled schedule.
Turn off Do not disturb from Quick settings
- Swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers to open Quick settings.
- If needed, swipe through the available buttons to find Do not disturb.
- Tap the button. It is a toggle, so tapping it turns the mode off if it is currently on. Samsung’s [Galaxy Do not disturb guide] describes this route for its US support instructions.
Use Settings if the button is missing
- Open Settings.
- Search for Do not disturb and select the result.
- Turn off the switch beside Do not disturb.
This is also a useful route if your Quick settings gesture or layout is different from the one you expect.
Where to find Quick settings in One UI 7
On One UI 7, the default gesture to open Quick settings is to swipe down from the top right of the screen. Samsung says notifications open from the top left or center, and the panels can be combined. If you do not see Quick settings where expected, use Settings search instead. The One UI 7 layout guidance applies to Samsung phones and tablets, but available functions can vary by device, carrier, and network; see Samsung’s One UI 7 guide.
Stop Do not disturb from turning back on
If the mode turns on again after you switch it off, inspect its schedules in the Do not disturb settings. Disable any schedule that should no longer activate it. Depending on the device, schedule controls may be labelled Add schedule or Turn on as scheduled, according to Samsung’s support guide.

Know what Do not disturb does—and does not—control
Exceptions can let some alerts through
Do not disturb can remain on while allowing selected calls, messages, apps, alarms, or sounds. You may therefore hear or see an allowed alert without the mode being off. Notification-hiding options, such as hiding pop-ups or status-bar icons, are separate preferences and can affect what appears on screen.
Sound mode is a separate setting
Samsung lists Sound, Vibrate, and Mute as sound-mode choices, separate from Do not disturb. If Do not disturb is off but the phone is still quiet, check sound mode and volume separately; changing them does not turn Do not disturb off. Samsung’s Galaxy sound settings guide covers those controls.

If the labels or menus differ
Samsung cautions that screens and settings can differ by carrier, software version, and phone model. Menu placement may also change after an update. Search for Do not disturb in Settings, or consult the manual for your specific device if the label is different.
