How to change an armor appearance in AION 2
- Open the in-game Menu and choose Wardrobe. Some guides and players refer to this appearance area as the Closet; the available labels may differ between clients. The menu route is described in a secondary guide: AION 2 Wardrobe guide.
- Choose the appearance you want to work with, then open Decorate.
- Select an individual armor part. Decoration is applied to the selected part rather than as one change to the entire outfit.
- Choose the appearance property you want to change, then inspect the preview.
- Confirm only when the preview shows the result you want. Check any cost displayed in the current client before confirming.
What can you change?
The Wardrobe guide lists four appearance properties: dye, material, pattern, and pattern color. These are distinct controls, so select the one that matches the change you want rather than assuming dye changes the material or pattern as well. Where to find appearance items
One guide describes Wardrobe tabs for Equip, Closet Shop, and Storage. These are reported labels, not guaranteed names for every regional client or update. If they do not appear in your game, use the Wardrobe options shown in your version rather than relying on a fixed tab layout. AION 2 Closet discussion
Check the current cost before applying a change
Past event coverage reported a discounted price of 100 Quna per part, reduced from a reported 200 Quna, for an event that ended August 19. Those figures describe historical event terms, not a verified standard price or a current offer. Another update summary reported a separate past event window. Understand reuse and shared-appearance limits
An update-notice mirror reported that a dyed or equipped appearance could not be consumed as synthesis material until its dye was removed or the appearance unequipped. It also reported that changing a shared dyed appearance could affect other characters using it. These mechanics may be version- or region-specific; verify the current client’s notices and item behavior before removing dye, synthesizing an item, or changing an appearance used by another character. Character customization is separate from armor decoration
NCSOFT said AION 2 offers more than 200 customization options, a figure about character creation rather than the number of Wardrobe dyes or armor appearance controls. NCSOFT announcement
