Use vivo EasyShare’s Phone Clone feature to move selected content from your old phone to the vivo X Fold6. The phones pair by QR code; the old phone supplies the content, and the X Fold6 receives it. vivo says Phone Clone works without consuming mobile data. Exact menus and categories may vary by regional software build, so follow the options shown on your devices.
Before you start
- Charge both phones and keep them close together during setup and transfer.
- Open EasyShare on both phones. If your old phone is an iPhone, install EasyShare on it before beginning.
- Keep the old phone available until you have checked what arrived on the X Fold6. Do not erase, reset, or trade it in immediately after cloning.
The steps below follow vivo’s general smartphone manual, rather than an X Fold6-specific manual. Button names, available content categories, and prompts can therefore differ on the installed software version.
Transfer data with EasyShare Phone Clone
- On both phones, open EasyShare and choose Phone Clone.
- On the old phone, choose the option identifying it as the old phone. It should display a QR code.
- On the X Fold6, choose the new-phone option, select whether the old phone is an Android phone or an iPhone, and scan the QR code displayed by the old phone.
- On the old phone, select the content or files to transfer, then tap Start cloning. Respond to any permission or screen-lock prompts shown by EasyShare. vivo Philippines says the old phone’s PIN or password may be requested when its screen lock is enabled.
- Keep both phones available while the transfer runs. When it finishes, check important content on the X Fold6 before doing anything to the old phone.
vivo’s manual describes Phone Clone as a way to migrate data without consuming mobile data. That statement is a product instruction, not a guarantee of transfer speed or a promise that every app, account, or item will be copied.
If you are moving from an iPhone
Install EasyShare on the iPhone first. During setup on the X Fold6, identify the source as an iPhone and pair by scanning the QR code shown on the old phone. Select from the categories EasyShare actually presents; the consulted manual does not list every iOS category or guarantee that third-party app accounts and private app data will transfer. Keep the iPhone intact until you have checked the result.

What may need attention after cloning
Apps may need manual installation
vivo’s regional guidance warns that transferred apps may not install automatically because of permission limitations. It directs users to Files > Apps to install them manually. Check that any apps you need are present and open correctly.
Do not assume app data or sign-ins moved
The manual warns that data from the same apps on the new phone can be overwritten. EasyShare is not documented as a guaranteed complete mirror of every app or account. Separately verify app sign-ins, authentication methods, and app-specific backups; do not rely on Phone Clone to move passwords, banking credentials, encrypted notes, or every app’s internal data.

Phone Clone, File transfer, or a computer copy?

If the transfer does not go as expected
- The QR code will not pair: Confirm that EasyShare is open on both devices and that the X Fold6 is set up as the new phone while the source is set up as the old phone. Recheck the source type selected on the X Fold6.
- An app is missing: Check Files > Apps for transferred apps that need manual installation, then sign in and restore app-specific data as required.
- Some expected data is absent: Review the categories offered by EasyShare and check the relevant app’s own backup or transfer instructions. Do not reset the old phone until you have confirmed the content you need is available on the X Fold6.
- The menu labels differ: Follow the current on-screen prompts. EasyShare’s exact labels and supported categories are not confirmed for every X Fold6 regional build.
