For Vivo’s documented transfer method, use EasyShare’s Phone Clone on both phones: set the old Android as the old phone, set the Vivo X Fold6 as the new phone, pair them by QR code, then choose what to copy. You can also follow any copy-data prompts shown during the X Fold6’s initial setup, but Google’s instructions describe Android setup generally and do not confirm the exact screens or transfer categories on every regional X Fold6 build.
Before you start
- Keep the old phone intact and available until you have checked the X Fold6.
- Charge and unlock both phones. Vivo says you may be asked for a screen-lock PIN or password during transfer.
- Review the data already on the X Fold6 before cloning: Vivo warns that transferred data for the same apps may overwrite existing data on the receiving phone.
Transfer with Vivo EasyShare Phone Clone
- On the X Fold6, locate and open EasyShare. Open EasyShare on the old Android phone as well. If it is not installed on the old phone, use Vivo’s official EasyShare page or the app store available for that phone; the right download route may vary by region.
- In EasyShare on both phones, enter Phone Clone. Choose Old phone on the Android phone and New phone on the X Fold6.
- The old phone displays a QR code. Scan it using the new phone to pair the devices.
- On the old phone, select the data categories you want to copy and start Phone Clone. Vivo’s manual says Phone Clone migrates data without consuming mobile data; that does not mean all other setup or app activity is offline.
- Wait for the transfer to finish. Then check the X Fold6 for the items that matter to you, such as contacts, messages, photos, and files, before wiping, trading in, or otherwise giving up the old phone.
- If an app appears among the transferred items but is not installed, check Files > Apps on the X Fold6. Vivo Philippines says app installation may not happen automatically because of permissions, so install it manually if appropriate.
Vivo’s phone manual describes Phone Clone as migrating data from an old phone to a new one without consuming data. The manual excerpt does not enumerate every category available on every X Fold6 build, so check the selections EasyShare actually presents on your devices.
Use Android’s setup transfer if it is offered
During the X Fold6’s initial setup, follow any copy-data prompts the phone presents. Google’s Android transfer guide documents wireless and cable-based transfer to a new Android phone. It lists common possible categories—including apps, music, photos, videos, contacts, texts, wallpaper, and call history—but notes that options vary by phone and Android version; DRM-protected music is excluded. This is general Android guidance, not a confirmed category list for every regional X Fold6 build.
If you choose a wired transfer, use a compatible, data-capable cable only if both phones support the offered setup flow. The X Fold6’s included cable and exact connector requirements are not established here.

Google’s Android transfer troubleshooting guide says you may be able to retry from Settings. It also describes cable or Android Switch options when the initial setup QR code is unavailable. The available menu labels and retry options can depend on the phone and how far setup has progressed, so follow the instructions actually shown on your device.

What to verify on the new phone
- Open the contacts, messaging, photo, and file apps you rely on and check that the expected items are present.
- Open important transferred apps and confirm they are installed and usable. Do not assume private app data, passwords, authentication tokens, launcher layout, or every setting transferred; the cited Vivo and Google instructions do not establish that for the X Fold6.
- Keep the old phone until you have also checked any separate cloud restores or app-specific sign-ins you need.
