For most transfers, use Realme’s Clone Phone app: set the Realme P4 as the new phone, scan its QR code with the old Android phone, select what to copy, and keep both phones close until migration finishes. If the P4 is still at first-time setup, Android’s built-in copy flow is another option. Back up irreplaceable items first, and check the results on the P4 before erasing the old phone.
Before you start
- Keep the old phone available and make a separate backup of important content you cannot afford to lose.
- Charge both phones and keep them close during Clone Phone’s pairing and transfer.
- Make sure you can access the accounts needed on the new phone. App sign-ins and protected app data may need separate attention.
Realme notes that settings paths can differ by phone and software version. The directions below describe the documented flow; labels on your P4 may vary.
Transfer with Realme Clone Phone
- On the Realme P4, open Clone Phone. Realme’s general support instructions place the app under Tools. Choose the option indicating that this is the new device; the realme UI 6.0 manual calls it “This is the new device.”
- Prepare the old Android phone. Open Clone Phone if it is already installed, or follow the P4’s prompt to install or open it. On the old phone, choose the old-device option.
- Pair the phones. Scan the QR code shown on the P4 with the old phone. The realme UI 6.0 manual also describes a manual connection option.
- Select data and start migration. Choose the categories you want to move, then start the transfer. Keep the phones close and do not disconnect them while it is in progress.
- Check the P4 before retiring the old phone. Open important contacts, messages, photos, documents, and apps on the new phone. Keep the old phone intact until you have confirmed the items you need are present.
Realme describes Clone Phone as transferring personal data, system data, applications, and audio, video, photo, document, and other files. Its realme UI 6.0 manual gives examples including contacts, messages, call logs, apps, images, videos, preference settings, and Wallet cards. These are listed capabilities, not a guarantee that every app’s private data, login session, or protected content will move across every phone brand and Android version. Give WhatsApp and app data separate attention
Do not rely on Clone Phone alone to preserve WhatsApp chats. Google’s instructions describe restoring WhatsApp chats and data from the cloud after you sign in to the new device and open WhatsApp. Before retiring the old phone, check that the WhatsApp backup is current and that you can access the account used for it. Other apps may also require their own backup, export, or sign-in steps; transfer support is not established for every app.

- Pairing does not work: Keep the phones close, reopen Clone Phone on both devices, and follow the pairing prompts again. If QR pairing is unavailable, check whether the old-phone app offers manual connection.
- Clone Phone is missing: Check the P4’s Tools area or search its apps for Clone Phone. Menu placement can vary by software version.
- Some content did not arrive: Keep the old phone. Restore from the relevant cloud backup or copy individual files manually rather than wiping the source device.
- You need a local backup: Realme’s FAQ describes local backup for realme UI versions 3.0 through 7.0, covering contacts, messages, call logs, preference settings, and apps excluding app data. It says realme UI R, Go, S, T, and U editions do not support local backup. The FAQ’s menu paths are version-specific, not confirmed P4 instructions; search Settings for Backup or consult current support guidance.
