The Global version of Code Geass: Lost Stories reportedly shut down on August 29, 2024, at 00:00 PST. That date has passed, so the old transfer steps should be treated as historical instructions—not as proof that a Global account can still be recovered. The available guidance also does not establish that a Global account can be moved to the Japanese version.
Can you transfer a Global account now?
The reported Global shutdown date is August 29, 2024, at 00:00 PST. That date appears in a secondary archived profile extract reproducing the game’s Global account announcement; a primary shutdown notice was not independently verified here. Do not assume that installing the Japanese app will import Global game data. A Japanese Google Play listing showed an update date of August 28, 2026, but a store-listing update does not verify that the Japanese servers are available or that accounts can move between regions. If you can still access the relevant game service, use its in-game transfer or linked-account options and contact official support for account-specific recovery. For a Global account after closure, the available guidance does not confirm a working recovery route or migration to Japan.

These are instructions documented in support FAQs from 2022. They explain the historical account options, not whether any option remains operational after a service closure.
Transfer ID and password: the device-change method
The FAQ’s preparation method was to set a transfer password in advance and retain it with the transfer ID. You needed both credentials; having only one was insufficient. A phone’s ordinary backup or restore function was not a substitute for transferring the game’s data. Official transfer FAQ

If the game is still accessible, follow the transfer instructions shown in the app and save both credentials somewhere secure. If you have already lost access to the game or the service is closed, the FAQ does not establish that those credentials can restore the account now.
Google or Apple linking, and operating-system limits
The external-linking FAQ names Google and Apple accounts. Its documented route was to open CONFIG in the game, choose Data Link, and link the relevant external account. For recovery, the documented flow began at Data Link on the title screen. The FAQ said transfers between different operating systems were not supported. Official external-linking FAQ
Use the same provider and compatible operating system described by the game’s flow; do not infer that linking makes an iOS-to-Android transfer possible. Because the steps are historical guidance, they are not a guarantee that the service or recovery screen remains available.
Using smartphone data on PC through DMM
The FAQ described linking smartphone game data to a DMM account to play that data on PC. It warned that the association could not be undone. Before confirming, verify that the intended game account and DMM account are the ones you mean to associate. Official DMM linking FAQ

Uninstalling is not the same as deleting your account
The FAQ said uninstalling the app did not itself delete the account; resuming could remain possible with transfer credentials. Account deletion had a different consequence: the deletion notice said player data would be permanently removed and could not be restored, even if transfer credentials had been set or an external account had been linked. If you are trying to preserve data, do not choose an account-deletion option. Uninstalling alone, however, does not guarantee recovery—access still depends on the game’s service and the credentials or links involved.

What to do based on your situation
- You can still enter the game: check its current transfer or external-link options, and contact official support if the account is not recognized.
- You have a transfer ID and password but cannot access Global: the historical FAQ explains their intended use, but does not confirm post-shutdown recovery.
- You want to install the Japanese version: do not expect it to import Global data; the available listing and FAQs do not establish cross-region migration.
- You only uninstalled the app: that was distinct from account deletion, but you still need a functioning service and the appropriate recovery credentials.
- You deleted the account: the deletion notice described the data as permanently unrecoverable, including when credentials or linking had been configured.
