Test a deep link by sending its exact URI to Android as an ACTION_VIEW intent, then confirm which activity opens and what URI it receives. Test App Links domain verification separately: a manifest filter can match a URL even when the website and app are not verified as associated.
What to test: URI routing versus App Links verification
A deep-link test answers whether Android can route a particular URI to an activity whose intent filter matches it. An App Links test answers a separate question: whether Android recognizes the app as associated with the website for that host. Ordinary deep links may lead to a chooser or disambiguation dialog; verified App Links establish the website-app association. See Android’s overview of App Links.
For useful results, test the exact scheme, host, and path you intend to support, inspect the activity and data delivered, and then check verification and device link-handling policy for web URLs.
Send a test URI with adb
- Build and install the app version that contains the intent filter you want to test on an emulator or device.
- From a terminal with Android Debug Bridge available, run:
adb shell am start -W -a android.intent.action.VIEW -d "https://www.example.com/path"
Replace the example URI with the exact URI under test. The command uses Android’s activity manager to issue anACTION_VIEWintent. Android documents this approach in Create deep links and demonstrates it in the App Links codelab. - Read the command output and observe the device. Confirm whether the expected app activity starts, another app is offered, a chooser appears, or no matching handler is found.
- In the receiving activity, inspect the intent action and data URI. Confirm they are the expected
ACTION_VIEWaction and URI rather than inferring success only from the screen that appears.
Repeat the test for each URI shape your app supports. A filter that accepts one host or path does not prove that a different host, scheme, or path will match.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
Compare each URI with the manifest filter
For every test case, compare the URI’s scheme, host, and path with the relevant <intent-filter>. For web-link behavior, check that the filter declares the intended ACTION_VIEW action and the required categories, including DEFAULT and BROWSABLE. When the intent is to verify an Android App Link, check that the applicable filter is configured for verification with android:autoVerify="true".
If more than one activity or filter can match, do not assume which one Android will choose. Record the candidate activity or activities and compare that result across the URLs and app builds you are testing. On Android 17 and later, Android documents the --debug-link diagnostics for displaying matching candidate apps and the static manifest attributes that matched a URI; consult Create deep links for current usage.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Verify App Links for every declared website host
A successful intent-filter match does not prove domain verification. For a website URL intended to open as a verified App Link, check each qualifying host declared by the app. The corresponding host must serve its Digital Asset Links statement at /.well-known/assetlinks.json, and that statement must associate the website with the correct app identity and signing details.
- List every qualifying host in the manifest, including distinct subdomains where applicable.
- Check the Digital Asset Links file served by each host at
/.well-known/assetlinks.json; do not infer that one host’s file verifies another. - Inspect the device’s App Links verification status and link-handling policy for the app. Android’s Test App Links guide describes device-side checks; the verification guide covers verification and the Digital Asset Links API.
Read verification status alongside the device’s link policy. A user’s handling preference can affect what happens when a link is opened, independently of whether programmatic verification succeeded.

Troubleshoot a mismatch or failed verification
- Unexpected activity or no handler: Recheck the exact URI against the filter’s scheme, host, and path, then verify the action and categories. Compare overlapping filters or activities rather than assuming a single candidate.
- App opens but the URI is wrong or routing is incomplete: Inspect the receiving intent’s action and data URI. This distinguishes an Android resolution issue from application-side handling of the incoming data.
- Web link matches but is not verified: Check
android:autoVerify="true", each declared host’s Digital Asset Links file, and the app identity and signing association. Android also lists server redirects among verification pitfalls; see Troubleshoot App Links. - Device behavior disagrees with verification: Inspect the device’s verification state and user link-handling policy together. Where stale state is suspected, follow Android’s documented steps to force fresh verification in Test App Links.
- Dynamic rules do not cover the requested path: Dynamic App Links are an Android 15-and-later capability, but their rules cannot expand beyond the path scope declared in the manifest. On Android 17 and later,
--debug-linkcan help show which rules were evaluated. See Create deep links.
