Report unsuitable ads through the game or platform, and block or uninstall a game if its ads keep being inappropriate. An ad-free or paid version may help if that specific game offers one; airplane mode helps only when the game works offline.
What to do when an inappropriate ad appears
- Report the ad in the game, if possible. Use the game’s report control and describe what appeared. Apple’s UK App Review Guidelines say apps that contain ads must let users report inappropriate or age-inappropriate ads; check the rules for your own storefront because guideline wording and reporting routes vary by region. See Apple’s App Review Guidelines (UK).
- Report the game to its app store if the app or its advertising seems unsuitable. In Google Play, open the game’s store listing, use the option to flag it as inappropriate, and select a reason. Google also advises parents to report ads that are not appropriate for the age group the game was designed for. A report asks for review; it does not filter the ad immediately on the device. See Google Play’s parent guide and Google Play’s ad guidance.
- Block or uninstall the game if exposure continues. A parent can use Google Family Link to block a child’s app or manage app limits. Blocking stops access to that game; it does not selectively remove ads while the child keeps playing it. See Google’s guide to managing a child’s Google Play apps.
- Check purchase protections. If a child might tap an ad or make an in-game purchase, set parental controls to disable purchases or require approval. Google Play purchase approvals apply to purchases made through Google Play billing, not necessarily every payment route an app may provide. The FTC’s guidance is at What to know about kids and video games, ads, and unexpected payments.
Why parental controls do not filter every game ad
Device and family controls are mainly designed to manage app access, screen time, age-rated downloads, or spending. They are not a universal filter for the creative shown inside a game. The FTC notes that most parental controls do not provide dedicated controls for ads shown during game discovery, downloads, or gameplay. Family Link can block an app, but that is different from letting a child play while filtering its ads. See the FTC’s Kids and Video Games guidance.
Turning off personalized advertising should not be treated as a fix: personalization settings concern ad targeting, and the cited guidance does not establish that they block unsuitable ad content.
What Google Play and Apple require—and what that means for parents
Google Play
Google Play’s Families requirements say ads shown to children or users of unknown age must be appropriate for children and may not use interest-based advertising or remarketing. The policy lists categories that are not allowed in child-facing ads, including sexual or suggestive content, dating, simulated gambling, graphic violence, harmful substances, and certain media, games, software, or sweepstakes. It also sets rules for deceptive ad formats and dismissibility. These are requirements for developers, not a guarantee that an unsuitable ad can never appear. See Google Play Families Policies.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
Google Play also requires ads and associated offers, such as prompts to download another app, to be appropriate for the game’s content rating. Google notes that what a child sees can change over time, so a game that seemed suitable before may later show different ads. See Google Play’s ad requirements and parent guidance.
Apple
Apple’s cited UK App Review Guidelines say ads must suit an app’s age rating and that apps containing ads must provide a way to report inappropriate or age-inappropriate ads. Because this is the UK version of the guidelines, check the current rules for the storefront where the app is offered: Apple App Review Guidelines (UK).

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Choose the remedy that fits the game
| Option | What it can do | Limitation |
|---|---|---|
| Report the ad or game | Alert the developer or platform to a suspected age-rating or policy problem. | It requests review; it does not instantly filter ads on the device. |
| Block or uninstall the game | Stops the child from using that game on the supervised device. | The child cannot continue playing that game. |
| Use an ad-free or paid version | May remove ads if the developer offers that option. | Availability and what “ad-free” covers depend on the game. Check its store listing or in-game offer. |
| Try airplane mode | May reduce network-served ads in a simple game that works offline. | It will not help if the game requires a connection, and it may disable online features. |
| Consider a third-party ad blocker | The FTC lists ad blockers as one possible way to limit ads. | No particular product or compatibility with a specific game is established; do not assume it will work. |
Before installing a game, read both positive and negative store reviews, look for an explicit ad-free label, and watch the game being played. Treat that as a snapshot rather than a guarantee: ad content can change. Recheck occasionally, especially if the game is aimed at children or has begun showing different promotions. The FTC’s advice on reviewing game ads and offline play is in Kids and Video Games, and Google’s guidance on changing ads is in its parent guide.
