To share a website from Chrome on Android, open the page, tap More beside the address bar, tap Share, then choose an app. If the app you want is not listed, tap More in the share chooser to see additional options. Menu labels and placement can vary by Chrome release and device.
Share a page link through an app
- Open Chrome on your Android device and go to the webpage.
- Tap More beside the address bar, then tap Share.
- Choose the app you want to use to send the link. If it is not visible, tap More in the chooser to see additional apps.
This is Google’s documented standard route for sharing a page: Share pages in Chrome.
Add a Share shortcut to Chrome’s toolbar
If you share pages often, Chrome may show a Share shortcut to the right of the search bar. If it is not there, Google documents this setting path: More > Settings > Toolbar shortcut > Share. The shortcut’s availability and placement can depend on your Chrome version and device.
Choose a sharing method for your recipient

Share a page as a QR code
- On the page in Chrome, tap More > Share > QR Code.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to share or download the code.
Someone can scan a QR code displayed on another phone with their camera. This method shares access to the page without sending its URL in a message. Google’s steps are in its Chrome page-sharing instructions.

Send the page to one of your devices
- Tap Chrome’s address bar.
- Choose Share > Send to your devices.
- Select the destination device.
You may need to sign in to your Google Account. If no device is listed, Google says you may not be signed in on another device. See Share pages in Chrome for the documented steps.
Use Quick Share for a nearby recipient
- Open the page’s Share menu in Chrome and choose Quick Share.
- Select the nearby device.
- Wait for the recipient to accept the transfer.
Quick Share instructions and settings can differ by Android version and device. Google notes that some steps apply to Android 13 or later, and Samsung Galaxy settings and features may differ. Check Google’s Quick Share instructions for the relevant device guidance.

Share a link to selected text
- Select the passage on the webpage.
- Tap Share in the selection controls.
- Choose an app to send the link.
The resulting link opens to the highlighted passage, rather than simply pointing to the page generally. Google describes this option in Share pages and highlighted text in Chrome.
