To use Streamlabs actions on a Loupedeck console, install the current Loupedeck software and Streamlabs Desktop, make sure the Streamlabs plugin is visible in Loupedeck’s Action panel, then drag actions onto buttons or dials and configure them. Keep Streamlabs Desktop open while setting up scene and source controls. If the apps will not connect, close OBS Studio and other streaming apps before restarting Loupedeck.
What you need before setup
- Streamlabs Desktop installed, with your streaming account signed in and the scenes and alerts you plan to control prepared.
- Loupedeck software and a supported Loupedeck console. Loupedeck’s setup instructions cover Live, Live S, and CT; this is not a standalone Streamlabs add-on that works without Loupedeck software and hardware. Loupedeck’s Streamlabs setup guide asks users to have current versions of both applications installed.
Streamlabs’ integration guide, published October 12, 2023 and last updated October 29, 2025, lists Loupedeck software support as macOS 10.15 or later and Windows 10 or later, and illustrates installation on Windows. These are the guide’s stated requirements, not a guarantee for every current release; check the vendors’ current system requirements if your OS or app version is newer. Streamlabs’ integration guide
Install and enable the Streamlabs plugin
1. Install both applications
Install Streamlabs Desktop and the Loupedeck software for your operating system. Follow each installer’s prompts. Streamlabs’ walkthrough says to have Streamlabs Desktop installed but not running before beginning its Loupedeck installation sequence; Loupedeck’s help page advises using current versions of both apps. If you are following Streamlabs’ installer sequence, leave Desktop closed until that sequence is complete.
2. Show the plugin in Loupedeck
- Open Loupedeck software.
- In the Action panel, open Hide and show plugins.
- Find Streamlabs and use its eye control to show the plugin if it is hidden. The Loupedeck support page says streaming plugins, including Streamlabs, are preinstalled in software version 5.2 and later and can be enabled from this panel. Loupedeck: How do I add Streaming plugins to profiles?
Streamlabs describes plugin integration from Loupedeck software update 5.8 onward specifically for the newer dynamic folders for scenes and sources. That detail concerns those folders; it does not replace the separate plugin-visibility control. Streamlabs’ integration guide

Assign Streamlabs actions to the console
1. Open Streamlabs Desktop
Launch Streamlabs Desktop and leave it running while you configure the profile. The newer dynamic scene and source folders populate from the app’s available items. Loupedeck notes that a newly created scene or source may take a short while to appear.
2. Drag actions onto controls
- In Loupedeck’s Action panel, locate the Streamlabs actions or folders you want.
- Drag an action onto a button or dial on the console layout.
- For an action with extra options, select it and set the required values in its configuration area.
- For touch buttons, customize the icon, color, or label if that will help you identify the control, then save your profile.

3. Arrange controls around your workflow
Put frequently used scene changes where they are easy to reach, and add audio controls or stream and recording toggles if they are part of your routine. Streamlabs’ walkthrough presents these as customization examples rather than required assignments. Before relying on the profile live, check that each button or dial triggers the intended action in Streamlabs Desktop.
