Samsung’s listed PC requirements do not cover every Windows computer: the PC must be a qualifying Galaxy Book, and both devices must meet the feature’s software and connection requirements.
Check that both devices are compatible
Samsung’s requirements specify a supported Galaxy phone or tablet running One UI 5.1.1 or later and a Galaxy Book from 2021 or later. The Galaxy Book also needs Samsung Settings version 1.5 for Intel models or 3.3 for ARM models. These are Samsung’s stated requirements, not a guarantee that every device meeting them will show the feature in every region or app. See Samsung’s Connected Experience compatibility details.
If your computer is a Windows PC from another manufacturer, Samsung’s cited Multi Control requirements do not establish that it is supported. Multi Control is not a general Windows feature that can be enabled on any PC.
Prepare the phone and Galaxy Book
Before enabling the feature, make sure both devices are signed in to the same Samsung Account, connected to the same Wi-Fi network, and have Bluetooth turned on. You also need a keyboard and mouse connected to at least one of the devices. Samsung does not require a particular keyboard or mouse model. These prerequisites are listed in its Multi Control support instructions.

Turn on Multi Control on both devices
- On the Galaxy Book: Open Samsung Settings, select Connected devices, then switch on Multi Control.
- On the Galaxy phone: Open Settings, select Connected devices, then switch on Multi Control.
- Confirm the account, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and keyboard-and-mouse requirements are still met if the devices do not appear to connect.
Samsung’s menu labels and feature availability can vary with model and software version. Its phone and tablet guidance also notes that behavior may depend on the app and region; availability in the settings menu does not mean every function works in every app.
What if you have a non-Galaxy Windows PC?
Phone Link, also called Link to Windows in this context, is a separate way to connect a Galaxy phone with a Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC. Samsung describes Phone Link for phone-screen mirroring and related phone-to-PC features, not as Multi Control. It may be relevant if your computer is not a supported Galaxy Book, but it is not a substitute with identical capabilities. See Samsung’s Phone Link instructions for the separate connection method.
