How to Get PlayStation Store Sale Alerts on PS5 and the App

Add a game to your PlayStation Store wishlist, then turn on wishlist notifications on your PS5, in the PlayStation App, or both. Sony says these updates can include price reductions and games joining the PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium catalog. The detailed instructions were published on PlayStation Blog Deutschland on April 20, 2026; menu labels and availability can vary by region or app and system version.

Add a game to your PlayStation Store wishlist

Open the PlayStation Store on your PS5, in the PlayStation App, or in a PC browser.
Open the game’s Store page and select the heart icon. Sony says adding the first item creates a wishlist if you do not already have one.

You can view the wishlist through PS5, the PlayStation App, or a PC browser, according to Sony’s April 20, 2026 PlayStation Blog post.

Turn on wishlist notifications on PS5

From the PS5 home screen, open Settings > Notifications > Wishlist Updates.
Enable the wishlist pop-ups. Adjust when they appear if you want to suppress them while playing games, watching video, or broadcasting.

Sony describes this notification category as a way to “See when there are updates to items on your wishlist.” The PS5 notification support page also explains how to control whether pop-ups appear and when they are suppressed.

Turn on wishlist notifications in the PlayStation App

Open the PlayStation App and tap Settings (the gear icon).
Go to Push Notifications > Accounts and Offers > Wishlist Updates, then enable the option.

Exact wording may differ in another region or app version, so follow the closest matching labels on your device. If push notifications are off, you can still check the notification list on the app’s Play screen; Sony’s PlayStation App support page documents this fallback.

Choose where you want alerts

PlayStation App push notifications	On a phone with the app’s push notifications enabled	You want alerts on your phone rather than relying on a console pop-up.

The two routes can be enabled together. Sony’s sources do not establish that one is faster or more reliable than the other.

What wishlist updates can include

Sony’s April 20, 2026 post describes alerts for discounts or other price reductions, as well as when a wishlisted game is added to the PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium catalog. An alert is not a guarantee that a particular offer is available in your region or will remain available at the same price when you visit the Store.
