Then open that robot’s Monitor tab, create a monitor, choose what kind of change to detect and how often to check, enable email notifications or configure a webhook, and save. A monitor only detects changes in the content its robot captures, and checks run on the schedule you choose—not instantly.
Prepare a robot that captures the right data
Browse AI monitors what a robot has been trained to capture. If the robot misses a price, availability field, or section of page text, monitoring cannot reliably alert you when that uncaptured information changes.
Create or choose a robot
For an existing robot, open its dashboard. To start from scratch, use Browse AI’s Building your first robot guide: provide an Origin URL, configure the data to extract, and review the preview before saving. Table Studio is the quicker fit when the data is already visible on the page. Use Robot Studio when the page requires actions such as clicking, typing, submitting a form, or logging in. Approve and save it
Review the captured preview before approving the robot. In Table Studio, save it after checking the preview; in Robot Studio, confirm the setup in the Quick Setup tab. Create a monitor and set its schedule
- Open the robot dashboard and select Monitor.
- Select Add monitor or Create new monitor. Browse AI also offers monitoring during robot creation.
- Choose the monitoring type and set the schedule, days, time, Origin URL, and any relevant inputs.
- Configure the notification method, then select Save to activate the monitor.
Browse AI’s guide lists hourly, daily, weekly, and minute frequency choices, plus day-of-week settings and a specific time or Any time. What appears may depend on your account or interface. Set the cadence according to how often the information changes and how quickly you need to know; more frequent checks may mean more notifications, and no schedule makes detection instantaneous. For text monitoring, the guide also documents custom input values, such as search terms or filters, so a monitor can run with different inputs without a separate robot for each one. Use those inputs when the page’s results depend on a query or selection.

Choose what counts as a change

These are documented options; not every account or monitor necessarily exposes every choice. Select text monitoring if the meaningful change is in extracted content. Choose screenshot monitoring when visual appearance is the concern. The 1%, 5%, and 10% figures are Browse AI setting thresholds, not independent accuracy measurements. Turn on email alerts or route changes to a webhook
Email notifications
- In the dashboard, select the robot, then open Monitor.
- Add a monitor or edit the existing one.
- Check Notify me by email if there is a change in a captured text.
- Select Save.

Webhook notifications
To send a change event to another service, open the approved robot’s Integrate tab, find Webhooks, add the destination URL, select taskCapturedDataChanged, and save. The destination service must provide a webhook URL; Browse AI’s guide gives Slack, Zapier, and Make as examples. Treat the URL as private if it grants access to an integration. A webhook is the better fit when another tool needs to act on the change rather than simply notify you by email. Browse AI: Webhooks: Set up guide
Review detected changes and monitor history
Browse AI describes highlighting new content in green, modified content in yellow, and removed content in red. Troubleshoot missing or unexpected alerts
- No email arrived: Check spam, verify the email address in account settings, and confirm the monitor’s email notification option is enabled and saved. Browse AI: How to set up monitoring notifications
- An obvious change was not detected: Review the robot’s captured fields and confirm it includes the changed content. Check whether the website’s structure changed, then adjust the monitoring frequency if the schedule is too sparse. Browse AI: How to set up monitoring for website changes
- You cannot add a monitor: Confirm the robot is saved and approved, then return to its dashboard and open Monitor. Browse AI: How to approve a robot
- A webhook does not trigger: Check that the destination URL is valid and that the
