The cited tools document address monitoring, not a configurable “large transfer” threshold. To alert only above a chosen amount, use a service that explicitly supports value thresholds or build a filter that evaluates transaction events and sends notifications.
Start with the address, network, and alert rule
Before configuring an alert, identify the exact public address and blockchain you want to watch. Also decide what should count as large: a fixed amount of BTC or BNB, a fiat-equivalent value, or a token-specific amount. Choose whether you care about incoming transfers, outgoing transfers, or both, and whether an alert should arrive while a transaction is pending or only after confirmation.
These choices matter because address-activity notices are not automatically value-threshold alerts. A notification that a transaction occurred may include small transfers as well as large ones. Confirm a service’s threshold controls, supported assets, alert timing, and delivery method before relying on it.
Set up Bitcoin address monitoring
Use mempool.space’s WebSocket interface
mempool.space documents a WebSocket API that can track one or more Bitcoin addresses and publish updates for transactions involving them. Its reference distinguishes new mempool activity from transactions in confirmed blocks. The documentation URL supplied is for Signet, so confirm the appropriate production endpoint and current usage terms before implementing a live monitor: mempool.space WebSocket API documentation.

- Protect your signer: keep it in mint condition at all times with a bespoke Pod or Case to avoid scratches and everyday wear and tear.
- Choose alert timing. Decide whether your system should notify on a transaction entering the mempool, on confirmation, or at both stages. A pending transaction can later be replaced or fail to confirm, so label pending alerts accordingly.
- Subscribe to the address. Use address tracking to watch for future transactions involving that address. The API also supports tracking by transaction ID, which is useful for following a transaction already known to you, not for discovering future transfers to an address.
- Apply your amount rule. The cited WebSocket reference documents event tracking, not a built-in amount threshold or an end-user email or push-alert workflow. For a large-transfer-only alert, add a value filter in your application or select a separate service whose threshold behavior is documented.
- Handle ongoing operations. A monitor you build needs to reconnect after dropped WebSocket connections, deduplicate repeated updates, and keep pending events distinct from confirmed transactions. Check the API’s current usage limits; mempool.space notes higher tracking limits for enterprise sponsorship.
Only monitor addresses you are authorized to track. An address is public blockchain data, but associating it with a person or organization can reveal sensitive activity.
Set up BNB Smart Chain email notices
Add an address to BscScan’s Watch List
BscScan’s Address Watch List can email a registered user when incoming or outgoing transactions involve a watched BNB Smart Chain address. The feature instructions describe transfer-type preferences, but do not establish an amount threshold. The help page, last updated September 12, 2023, states a limit of 50 watched addresses per user account; verify the current interface and limit when setting up the feature. - Sign in to your BscScan account.
- Open Watch List and choose Add.
- Enter the BNB Smart Chain address you want to monitor.
- Set notification preferences and the transfer types you want to receive notices about.
- Check that email notifications are enabled and that the address is listed in your watchlist.
Treat this as an address-activity notice, not proof that only large transfers will trigger an email. If you need a threshold, verify that a separate service supports the required amount rule, or create a filter using transaction data.
Build a custom threshold alert from BscScan API data
BscScan documents API access to BEP-20 transfer events by address. An application can evaluate event values against a threshold and send an alert through a delivery channel you choose. BscScan’s API overview states programmatic updates every second and up to 30 calls per second; these are published documentation details, not independent performance measurements, and may change. Define which token or native-coin activity your rule covers, how token decimals are handled, and whether the value is measured in token units or converted to fiat. A BEP-20 transfer-event monitor should not be assumed to cover every kind of BNB Smart Chain activity without checking the relevant event data and transaction types.
Account for contract-mediated transfers
On BNB Smart Chain, activity can involve smart contracts rather than a simple direct transfer from one address to another. BscScan distinguishes normal transactions from internal transfers involving a smart contract in its transaction explainer. Decide whether your use case requires those contract-mediated movements, token transfers, or only direct native-coin transfers. Otherwise, an alert rule may miss activity that matters to you.

Make sure “BNB” means the network you intend
BNB is used in different network contexts. BscScan’s watchlist documentation specifically concerns BNB Smart Chain; it does not establish that the watchlist monitors BNB Beacon Chain. The separate BNB Beacon Chain Explorer illustrates that this is a distinct network context. Confirm the network associated with the address and funds before configuring a monitor.

For any other service, check address and asset coverage, threshold units, pending-versus-confirmed timing, notification delivery, operating limits, and whether you are comfortable submitting addresses to a third party. These are comparison criteria, not features established for every service.

Bitcoin alert messaging is not a substitute for address monitoring
Bitcoin’s developer documentation describes legacy alert messaging in the peer-to-peer protocol as retired. It is not the same as a modern address-monitoring service. For address-based monitoring, use a current data feed or monitoring service rather than relying on that legacy protocol mechanism: Bitcoin Developer Documentation: P2P Network.
