Set a Bitcoin price alert in an app or charting service you already use: choose BTC, select whether to alert above or below a target, and enable a notification channel. The alert tells you when the condition is met; it does not automatically buy or sell Bitcoin.
Choose the alert service that fits how you follow Bitcoin
Coinbase, Kraken Pro, and TradingView each support Bitcoin price alerts, but their setup requirements differ. Pick the one you already check and whose notification method you are likely to notice.

Set a Bitcoin alert in Coinbase
- In the Coinbase mobile app, search for and select Bitcoin.
- Add Bitcoin to your watchlist using the star control. Coinbase requires an asset to be on your watchlist for its price alert to be sent.
- Tap the bell-plus control and choose Add Alert.
- Choose whether the alert should trigger when the price moves above or below your target, enter the price, and save.
- Open Account & Settings, then Notification Settings. Enable the delivery options you want for Custom Alerts. Coinbase also lists notification settings for predetermined Price Alerts.

Set a Bitcoin alert in Kraken Pro
On the web
- Open or add the Alerts widget.
- Allow browser notifications if prompted.
- Create a new alert, select the market and trigger parameters, enter the price, and activate the alert.
In the mobile app
- Allow Kraken Pro push notifications in your device’s operating-system settings and in the app.
- Open the price-alert interface from the Markets page or an available market or order shortcut, then configure and activate the alert.
You can view, edit, or delete alerts in the platform. Kraken’s price-alert instructions say Futures alerts cannot currently be set in the app.
Set a Bitcoin price alert in TradingView
- Open the Bitcoin market symbol you want to monitor and create an alert.
- Set the primary condition to Price, then choose the operator and target price.
- Choose whether the alert should trigger once or repeatedly, and set an expiry or other supported timing behavior.
- Select the delivery actions you want, such as app notification, pop-up, email, webhook, or sound.
- Confirm that the selected delivery method is enabled. App notifications require the TradingView mobile app; desktop pop-ups require browser notification permission.
The number of simultaneous alerts depends on your account plan. TradingView also says open-ended alerts are not available for watchlist alerts. See its price-alert setup guide and general alert guide.

Check the alert and its delivery channel
An alert can be configured while notifications are blocked, so check both sides: the price condition in the service and permission for the channel you selected. On mobile, check app and device notification settings; in a browser, allow browser notifications if using pop-ups. If you chose email, verify that email delivery is selected in the service.
- Confirm the condition is for Bitcoin and that the direction and target are correct.
- Check that the alert is active and has not expired.
- Make sure the selected notification channel is enabled and permitted by your device or browser.
- Use a small number of meaningful levels, such as one above and one below a price you care about, rather than adding alerts you will ignore.
Notification behavior and alert limits can change. The platform help pages linked above were checked on October 7, 2026; Kraken’s page states it was last updated January 20, 2026. Follow the current instructions in the relevant service if labels or controls differ.
