To send Hexowatch website-change alerts to Slack, sign in to Hexowatch, open Settings, choose Connect with Slack, authorize the intended Slack workspace, and select the channel for notifications. Then check that the monitor you care about is set to use the Slack integration.
Connect Hexowatch to Slack
- Sign in to your Hexowatch dashboard.
- Open Settings and select Connect with Slack.
- Sign in to the Slack workspace where you want alerts and complete the authorization prompts.
- Choose the Slack channel that should receive notifications.
- Check the relevant Hexowatch monitor’s notification settings to make sure Slack is selected.
Hexowatch describes the integration as a way to receive Slack alerts when configured monitors detect website changes. Its setup instructions recommend having Slack installed before connecting. The exact authorization prompts and permissions can depend on your Slack workspace; follow its current policy and ask a workspace administrator if approval is required.
Choose where a monitor sends its alerts
Connecting Slack establishes the destination for notifications, but verify the notification integration for the particular monitor you expect to hear from. Hexowatch announced per-monitor Slack channel assignment in a January 18, 2021 release note. Because that announcement is dated, check the current dashboard for the available monitor-level controls rather than relying on old menu names or steps.
If your account offers a safe way to produce a known website change, you can use it to confirm the notification reaches the selected channel. This is a practical check, not a documented guarantee that every account has a dedicated test-alert feature.

Set Slack notifications for monitors created through the API
For API-created monitors, Hexowatch’s API reference documents a notification_integrations field. The reference says to get integration IDs from the integrations endpoint and lists Slack among the available integration types. You will need a Hexowatch API key and the relevant integration ID. Check the live API documentation for the current request format and field requirements, since API details can change.
What to expect from a Slack alert
A June 24, 2021 Hexowatch release note said alerts had been improved and added a link to the alert itself rather than only to the monitor. That is a dated product statement, not a guarantee about the contents or appearance of every current notification. Check a live alert in your workspace to see what information your account currently receives.

Troubleshoot missing Slack alerts
- The Slack connection is not complete: Return to Hexowatch Settings and check whether Slack is connected to the intended workspace. Complete any pending authorization prompts.
- The alert goes to the wrong channel: Review the selected destination channel in the Slack integration and any monitor-level routing controls currently available in your dashboard.
- The monitor does not appear to use Slack: Open its notification settings and verify that the Slack integration is selected. Do not assume connecting Slack automatically changes every existing monitor’s settings.
- Slack authorization is blocked: Check your workspace’s current app-installation and authorization policy, or ask a Slack administrator to review the request. The specific permissions required are not established here.
- You are configuring an API-created monitor: Confirm that the request supplies the documented
notification_integrationsvalue and a valid integration ID from the integrations endpoint. Consult the current API reference for exact requirements. - You are unsure whether delivery works: Check Hexowatch’s current monitor and notification settings, then use a safe, observable change if available. No specific test-alert control or delivery-time guarantee is established.
Other ways Hexowatch documents for receiving or forwarding alerts
Hexowatch’s playbook lists email, Telegram, Google Sheets, Slack, API, webhooks, Zapier, and Pabbly Connect as alert or integration options. Availability and setup may vary. Does connecting Slack make a Hexowatch monitor run more often?
No change to monitoring frequency is established by the Slack integration instructions; Slack is the notification destination for detected changes.

Can I send different monitors to different Slack channels?
Hexowatch announced monitor-specific Slack channel assignment in a 2021 release note. Check your current dashboard to confirm whether and how that control is available.
