If your Hostinger account signs in with an email address and password, open the login page, select Forgot password?, enter the email address linked to the account, and choose Send Reset Email. The link in that message lets you set a new password. Two situations work differently: accounts that sign in with Google, Facebook, or GitHub are recovered through that provider, and if you can no longer reach the linked email or your two-factor (2FA) device, you need Hostinger’s separate account recovery process.
Choose the right route first
The correct route depends on how you sign in and what you can still access. Match your situation to the row below before you start.

Reset a forgotten password with email login
This is the standard route. Hostinger states that its reset links work across its regional brands, so you do not need to start from a particular regional site. Interface labels can change, so use the wording you see on screen if it differs slightly.

- Go to the Hostinger login page and select Forgot password? below the login form. You can also use Hostinger’s direct password-reset form.
- Enter the email address associated with the Hostinger account, then select Send Reset Email.
- Open the message from Hostinger. Check the main inbox first, then Spam, Updates, and any other inbox categories your provider uses. Hostinger says the message usually arrives within a few minutes.
- Select the link in the email and set a new password.
If the reset email does not arrive
Most delays come from the mail provider rather than from the request itself. Work through these checks in order:

- Search your Spam, Updates, and promotions folders for a message from Hostinger, and confirm you typed the correct address.
- Wait up to one hour. Hostinger recommends waiting that long before sending another request, because an email provider may delay delivery.
- If you sent several requests, use the link in the most recent email only. A newer request overrides the earlier link, so older links will not work.
- If nothing arrives after an hour, the address you entered is probably not the one linked to the account, or you no longer have access to it. Move to account recovery below.
Reset a password for Google, Facebook, or GitHub sign-in
If your account is linked to a social login, Hostinger’s Forgot password? option will not send a reset link. Recover the password through the provider you use to sign in: Google, Facebook, or GitHub. Once you regain access there, sign in to Hostinger the same way as before.
Recover an account you cannot access
Use this route if you cannot reach the linked email, you no longer remember which email is linked, or your 2FA device is unavailable. It is a verification process, so it takes longer than a normal reset.

Gather your proof before you start
Hostinger lists recent payment proof as mandatory. Other documents can support your claim, including:
- A government-issued ID.
- An image of the payment card showing only its first six and last four digits.
- Business-registration documentation, if the account belongs to a company.
Redact any sensitive information that the verification does not require. Follow the instructions on the current form, because the accepted documents can change.

Submit the recovery request
- Open Hostinger’s help center and find the Can’t Access Your Account? option.
- Select the issue that matches your situation, such as no access to the linked email, a forgotten linked email, or an unavailable 2FA device.
- Enter an alternative email address you can access. Hostinger sends its response there.
- Complete the recovery form with your account details and upload the proof of identity or ownership.
- Watch the alternative inbox. Hostinger says it responds within two business days.
Change a password you still know
If you are already signed in and remember the current password, you do not need the forgotten-password process. Change it from the dashboard:
- Go to Profile, then Account Information, then Account settings.
- Select the password option.
- Enter your current password, then the new password, and save.

- Do not reuse a password from another account.
- Use more than eight characters, mixing numbers, letters, and special characters.
- Avoid easily guessed personal details.
- Consider a password manager to store it.
Hostinger also mentions social login and 2FA as additional protections. These are recommendations for a strong account, not requirements for submitting a reset request.

Hostinger Email mailbox passwords
A Hostinger Email mailbox password is separate from the account login. Resetting your account password does not change the mailbox password, and a mailbox problem is handled through the separate Hostinger Email procedure. Keep the two apart when you search the help center, so you do not reset the wrong credential.

Prevent the next lockout
Add a recovery email now, while you can still sign in. Hostinger recommends this step so that a future reset does not depend on a single inbox. Go to Profile, then Account Information, then Account Settings, and set the Recovery email field to an address you check regularly.
