Current community guides report that you can compare unlimited attempts and save one result, but the best low-regret approach is to keep a useful hero—usually Iseria for broad PvE utility—rather than spend time chasing a perfect roll. You do not need to reroll for Sigret; current guides say she is available later through Hunt missions.
How to reroll in Epic Seven
- Start a fresh account and advance to stage 1-4. Current guides say Selective Summon unlocks there. See the Epic Seven Wiki reroll guide and Moriyaism’s progression guide.
- Use Selective Summon to compare results. Current unofficial guides describe the system as allowing unlimited attempts and letting you record one result while continuing to compare. The saved result is intended to remain available as you try later sets.
- Choose a practical keeper, then confirm it. Prioritize a useful five-star hero over perfect four-star heroes or artifacts. Once you have chosen, bind the account; the reroll guide warns that binding before confirming the intended result can lock in the wrong one.
- Move into progression. Build out the roster through Connections and Hunt missions rather than rerolling for every hero you want.
There is an important qualification to the attempt-limit claim: Smilegate’s May 28, 2021 announcement says Selection Summon guarantees five-star heroes and allows players to temporarily save current results. It does not specify unlimited attempts. Treat the unlimited-attempt detail as current guide-reported information, and check the live game or a current official notice if the limit would affect your decision.
Which Selective Summon hero should you keep?
Iseria: the broad PvE choice
For a new player who wants one general-purpose recommendation, Iseria is the strongest-supported pick in the current guides reviewed. They point to her defense break and usefulness across PvE content, including Hunts and Abyss. This is community advice, not an official ranking. Sources: the reroll guide, starter heroes guide, and Moriyaism’s guide.
Destina: a healing and cleansing alternative
Destina can be a sensible keeper if you value healing and cleansing as an early safety net. The guides differ in emphasis about her relative PvE value, so treat her as a reasonable alternative rather than an equal universal top pick. One guide frames that safety net in relation to obtaining Tamarinne later.

Other usable results
A current starter guide lists Ken, Angelica, Clarissa, and Sez as acceptable fallback results. Selective Summon availability can change, so check the heroes actually offered in your live game before pursuing a particular name. If you see a useful result and are ready to play, stopping is often better than stretching the reroll for a marginal improvement.
Why Sigret is not a reroll target
Current guides say Sigret is obtainable later through Hunt missions, so chasing her in Selective Summon is unnecessary. The same progression guides distinguish the Selective keeper from the early Hunt roster: they describe Furious, Alexa, and either Angelica or specialty-changed Angelic Montmorancy as obtainable through Connections or ordinary progression. Your first Selective hero does not have to be a complete Wyvern team by itself. See the starter heroes guide and getting-started guide.

How much should you optimize the roll?
Make the hero the priority. One current guide mentions four-star extras such as Magaraha’s Tome, Aurius, and Tagehel’s Ancient Book, as well as heroes such as Rose or Achates, but describes pursuing them as optional. Chasing a particular combination can add substantial reroll time; none is necessary to justify keeping a useful five-star result.
The practical decision is whether another round is likely to improve your account enough to be worth delaying play. If you have Iseria, or another acceptable hero that fits your preference, you can move on and fill roster gaps through free progression. A perfect screenshot is not a prerequisite for building an effective early team.

A guide updated September 9, 2026 reports an anniversary period from August 27 through October 29, 2026, with 20 Covenant summons per day. A current official STOVE result advertises “1,260 Free Summons,” but the retrieved excerpt does not establish the full terms, eligibility, or claim rules.
